HOA POSTED RULES
This rental is located in a residential neighborhood. Loud parties and disruptive behavior
are not tolerated. This neighborhood is monitored by a 24/7 call service.
* Quiet hours are 9 pm - 8 am. (Douglas County Ordinance)
* Two (2) car maximum allowed.* Renters will be issued a parking permit which they must display on the driver’s side dashboard of their vehicle. Failure to park in the designated parking spaces and/or display the parking permit may result in a citation and fine of $500 to the owner of the vehicle.
* Fireworks, wood fire pits, and charcoal BBQs are strictly prohibited.
* During inclement winter weather either 4WD and snow tires, or 2WD and chains are required to access this Unit. All guests must move all vehicles within 24 hours of a snow storm.
* All dogs must be on a leash at all times and owners must pick up feces immediately and dispose of them in an appropriate trash container or dumpster.

When you stay at Modern Tahoe Escape, you’ll be in the perfect position to experience it all! Under a 5-minute drive from your front door is the Stagecoach Lodge and Ski Lift, transporting you into the heart of the impressive Heavenly Ski Resort where you can take full advantage of ski runs for any age and skill level filled with fresh mountain powder. In the warmer months, abundant trailheads are close nearby offering full-day hiking and biking adventures into the pine-lined surroundings. Feel like trying your luck? You’ll be 5 minutes from all the glittering Stateline casinos including Harrah’s, Golden Nugget, and Bally’s. Of course, we can’t leave out Lake Tahoe itself, with a virtually unlimited number of water-themed activities you won’t want to miss out on. Dining and shopping are also within easy reach, the Fox & Hound bar and grill being within just a 15-minute walk away.

Inside the spacious home, you’ll be taken in by the fresh and bright interior with spaces designed for privacy as well as gathering. Dark hardwood flooring ties each room together while warmer wood accents keep the forested outdoors close to mind. Floor to ceiling picture windows in the living room illuminate the space in natural light, and you can enjoy the gorgeous views curled up on the plush U-shaped sofa while you stream your favorite show on the smart TV. The gas fireplace will keep you cozy in the colder months, setting the scene for an immersive movie night. The stately kitchen is a delight for any chef, showcasing stainless steel appliances, stone countertops, and cabinetry stocked with cookware and dining ware. Enjoy your meals together at the elegant dining room table with seating for 8 or break out a deck of cards to host an exciting family game night.

SLEEPING
This home comfortably sleeps 8 guests between 4 private bedrooms.
Bedroom #1 includes a twin-over-twin bunk bed.
Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed.
Bedroom #3 includes a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a freestanding twin bed.
Bedroom #4 includes a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity and glass walk-in shower.
The home also includes a half bathroom as well as an additional full guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

* Lot parking available for 2 vehicles. Parking passes are required and will be included in the unit upon arrival.
* This home is equipped with a security camera on the home’s exterior.

LOCATION
Stateline is a popular destination for tourists, offering a variety of outdoor activities as well as casinos, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. There are several golf courses in the area, as well as hiking trails, biking trails, and swimming beaches. In the winter, visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports. In the summer, visitors can enjoy swimming, boating, and other water sports on nearby Lake Tahoe. No matter what time of year you visit, Stateline is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the many activities that the area has to offer!

- QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your cooperation!
- KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.

- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc. 
- WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Emphasis on snow tires. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use!
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- STARTING SUPPLIES: We provide a starting set of supplies which includes 1 roll of paper towels, 1-2 rolls of TP per bathroom, etc. Depending on your parties usage, you may need more. Please plan to bring or buy more. Our local team is always on stand by as well.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom. We do this to limit laundry for the cleaners and it’s less wear and tear on the washer/dryer. If you feel you will need more towels, please bring them. Hot tub and beach towels are not provided.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes 🙂
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty it’s just apart of mountain life. Please let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY
A storm in Tahoe can drop up to 2 feet or more in 24 hours so if you haven’t been to Tahoe during a heavy Winter, please take note. The roads and driveways in Tahoe are only plowed when snow accumulates to more than 6 inches so if it snowed less than that or you are coming during an active storm, you will arrive to snow on the roads leading up to this home AND on the driveway. Since street parking is not allowed during the Winter, you will need to drive over the snow either using chains or with your 4WD engaged (or both) and onto the driveway. There are also shovels provided for shoveling. Especially after the historic Winter of 2023, we do not recommend coming to Tahoe unless you have a higher clearance 4WD vehicle with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Always bring chains no matter what kind of car you have. Even if it’s not actively snowing, Tahoe roads are steep and icy. Power outages are also common. The Grand Welcome difference is we have a very experienced local team who are here to help you during your stay – as long as safety allows. If we can get to you, we will come help! Not all hosts have this kind of local support so this is the benefit to booking a Grand Welcome home!

House rules

  1. By booking this home you agree to the county rental laws and the following house rules. Failure to abide by any of the below items may result in an eviction with no refund. We don’t like doing it but in order to keep our owners rental permits intact, sometimes it has to be done. Vast majority of our guests have no issue but every once in a while we do get a rowdy group. We do our best to communicate with you long before it leads to an eviction so please have your booking cell phone on you during your stay. Message us if you have any questions or concerns and we appreciate your understanding on the matter 🙂
  2. COUNTY LAWS & HOUSE RULES
  3. Must be 25 or older to book this home.
  4. Strictly no hot tub use after 10pm - only if applicable!
  5. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all all rentals.
  6. Trash goes into the bear box only and is not to be left outside.
  7. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
  8. No extra cars, parking on the street OR on the dirt.
  9. No smoking on the premises and especially no flicking cigarette butts.
  10. No open flame fires, fire works, bonfires, etc - due to high fire risk.
  11. No yelling, blasting music, fighting or other loud noise that could disturb the neighbors.
  12. No pets unless the home is specifically pet friendly. We do host service animals unless the owners are allergic as it is then a health and safety issue. Please contact us to double check.
  13. DAMAGE
  14. You are covered for any accidental damage and then anything seen as neglectful, you will be charged. It’s best to report all damage to us right away so the appropriate measures can be taken. If you treat this home as if it were your own, then you should be fine.
