I’m Singing in the Pines, just Singing in the Pines - what a glorious feeling, I’m happy again! There’s no doubt that you’ll be smitten about this home and singing your own tune just like Gene Kelly. This meticulously kept property is decked out head-to-toe with warm furnishings, custom accents, and plenty of space for family fun. The home is ideal for a family or two looking to make endless memories during their Lake Tahoe getaway with Stateline just 5 minute drive, Heavenly Valley resort less than 15 minute drive and the private owner’s beach just a 2 minute walk.

Upon entry, you’ll receive a warm welcome from the natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. In addition to offering a beautiful view of the outside, the living space features vaulted ceilings, sightlines to the dining and kitchen areas, a TV, fireplace, and ample seating on a large sectional. From the living room, you can also access the main floor deck that’s “decked-out” with a BBQ, patio seating, and unobstructed views of those beautiful green pines and peek-a-boo views of Lake Tahoe.

Back inside, the spacious kitchen is equipped with a full suite of modern appliances and everything you may need to whip up a multi-course meal or a quick pre-slope/beach snack. Additional appliances such as a coffee maker, blender, and toaster are also available for your convenience. The extended counter allows for extra prep space or is the perfect gathering area with 3 barstools. Adjacent to the kitchen, a dining area hosts a table for 6-7 guests.

The home sleeps up to 10 comfortably, between 4 spacious bedrooms, each featuring cozy linens to ensure everyone has a restful stay. The home also sports 4 bathrooms to appropriately accommodate guests.

Bedroom #1, located on the main living floor, has a Queen bed. Steps away, there is a full bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower

Bedroom #2, located on the 2nd floor, is equipped with a King bed, balcony, and en-suite. The en-suite features a walk-in shower.

Bedroom #3, also located on the 2nd floor, highlights 2 Queen beds, and an en-suite. The en-suite has dual sinks and a walk-in shower.

The final bedroom, Bedroom #4, is located on the ground level and is configured with 2 Twin beds and a Twin-over-Full bunk bed (every kid's dream for a super slumber party) as well as a TV. Steps away, guests can find a private bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

We mentioned that this home has plenty of space for family fun. If you aren’t yet convinced, let us bring you to the ground floor where the garage is convertible into a separate game room ideal for endless activities. Here you’ll find a ping pong table, stream based speaker system, TV, and sleds to name a few! The ground floor is the ultimate kid hangout. And for those looking for extra relaxation or a low-impact workout, yoga mats can be found on the main floor landing. There’s also a Level 240A charger for your EV.

What’s Up With Your Pup?
Thank you for your interest in our home, Singing Pines! Unfortunately, one of the owners is extremely allergic (like, throat closes bad) to dog and cat hair. Thus, pets (Of any kind or purpose) are not permitted at the residence. Those who bring a pet that is not authorized by us beforehand will be asked to leave and an additional cleaning fee will be applied.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
- There is space for up to 3 vehicles; 1 in the garage and 2 in the driveway. Guests CANNOT park on the street or risk getting towed.
Notification to Renters: You will be issued a parking permit which must displayed on the driver’s side dashboard of your vehicle and “failure to park in the designated parking spaces and/or display the parking permit may result in a citation and fine of $500 to the owner of the vehicle”.
- Marla Bay is a family home in a quiet neighborhood. HOA rules such as no street parking and a 10 PM quiet hour are strictly enforced. We do NOT allow large parties at our home; bachelor/bachelorette, wedding reception, etc are prohibited. Loud noises will likely result in a noise disturbance report and monetary fine from Marla Bay HOA and/or our local police department. There are exterior cameras, and a noise decibel detection system, to ensure we are abiding by all rental laws. Please be mindful of this when considering our home for booking.
- Water levels of the beach fluctuate depending on the season and winter snowfall. Thus it’s possible for there to be more or less beach than the photos provided in the listing
- Be sure to read through the check-in details for important information regarding proper vehicle preparation in winter months, safe trash disposal, and more!

The home is a 2-minute walk from the picturesque Marla Bay on the southeast shore of Lake Tahoe. Other stunning coasts also can be accessed within a few minutes giving guests plenty of opportunities to explore nearby California and Nevada shorelines all in one day! The property is about a 15-minute drive from California’s largest Ski Resort, Heavenly Mountain. Heavenly’s unique terrain offers 97 runs and 30 lifts that are spread across California and Nevada appealing to all skillsets. Fallen Leaf Lake, a deep glacial lake that offers a campground is about 25-minutes away and is popular for both boating and fishing. While visiting, be sure to explore Heavenly Village, a vision of South Tahoe dotted with restaurants, shops, and various activities for every season - located just 3.6 miles away.

  1. -By booking this home you agree to the county rental laws and the following house rules. Failure to abide by any of the below items may result in an eviction with no refund. We don’t like doing it but in order to keep our owners rental permits, sometimes it has to be done. We appreciate your understanding on the matter. We do partner with a local security company to handle such matters. Message us if you have any questions.
  2. -Strictly no hot tub use after 10pm - only if -applicable
  3. -10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all -rentals
  4. -Trash goes into the bear box only and is not to be left outside
  5. -We cannot host extra people or allow parties
  6. -No extra cars, parking on the street OR on the dirt
  7. -No smoking on the premises and especially no flicking cigarette butts
  8. -No open flame fires, fire works, bonfires, etc due to high fire risk
  9. -No yelling, fighting or other loud noise that could disturb the neighbors
  10. -No pets unless the home is specifically pet friendly. We do host service animals unless the owners are allergic as it is then a health and safety issue. Please contact us to double check
  11. -Avoid speeding when coming to and from this home - lots of kids and dogs off-leash
