Escape to paradise on the Big Island of Hawaii. Kona White Sands A4 is a cleverly designed condominium with ocean views located on the Kailua Kona coast. The studio layout can accommodate up to 3 guests, making it perfect for a small family.

Guests staying in this romantic vacation rental will find themselves in an ideal location for all Hawaiian experiences. A leisurely stroll across Alii Drive takes you to the famous Magic Sands Beach, less than 100 feet away. Restaurants, shops, a golf course, and the pier are all within easy access on Alii Drive. The pier is great for snorkeling, fishing, or taking a cruise. Kona Trolley runs from the northern shops, then south to the Sheraton where you can dive with the Manta Rays (stops every 2 hours daily from 9am to 9pm at $2/ride). The Captain Cook monument and state parks are all a short drive or Uber ride away. The Magic Sands Grill is conveniently located right across the street, perfect for flavorful island bites.

The California King-sized bed is tucked away by the front entrance offering a view of the ocean and sunsets. This cozy sleeping area also has a mounted television equipped with cable, movie channels, and a DVD player. High speed internet is also included for your enjoyment. The couch functions as a Queen-sized sofa sleeper for one or two children. The private full bathroom has a handy walk-in shower for all the guests.

This stylish condo features island decor throughout. Seating is arranged to create a relaxing view of the lanai, the beach, and the ocean. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and granite countertops to aide a chef in cooking mouthwatering meals. Sit down and enjoy a home cooked meal at the breakfast bar for 2 or take it outside to the lanai patio seating for alfresco dining. Open the lanai doors to let the ocean breezes inside and listen to the surf. This private lanai adjoins a grassy front lawn with a privacy hedge and offers panoramic ocean views where you can indulge in breathtaking sunsets.

This intimate 10-Unit condominium complex includes other amenities as well including an A4 unit parking space, shared laundry facilities, and easy combo lock access to your unit.

This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.
The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation announces the temporary closure of La aloa Beach Park and the temporary partial closure of Magic Sands Beach Park in Kailua-Kona beginning Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, for the construction of improvements. Both projects will run concurrently and are expected to be completed in approximately 7-8 months.
La aloa Beach Park will be closed in its entirety as work to implement the archaeological preservation plan is pursued. The project entails establishing park features that will protect and enhance the cultural sites through appropriately placed rock walls, established trails and walkways, landscaping, and informational signage.
Magic Sands Beach Park will be closed at its southern end to allow for the demolition of the existing comfort station and the construction of its replacement. The project will also provide an accessible route tie-in to Alii Drive, accessible showers, picnic tables, and parking stalls, upgrading existing utility connections, and addressing

House rules

  1. Towels, bathing suits, and laundry shall not be hung on the balcony rails or walkway rails. Please use the clothesline in the back of the building.
  2. Banners, signs, flags, windsocks, and wind chimes shall not be attached to, or hang over, the balcony rails or walkway rails.
  3. No personal sign (e.g., For Sale, ad) shall be displayed in public view from any apartment or common element.
  4. Blinds or awnings shall not be placed on balconies or lanais.
  5. To preserve a uniform appearance, balconies and lanais shall contain appropriate patio or outdoor furniture. The storage or placement of inappropriate personal items (e.g., bicycles, surf boards, beds, equipment, washer/dryer) in public view on balconies and lanais is prohibited.
  6. Stairs, walkways, entrance balconies on the upstairs end units, and other common areas, including the water heater closet, shall be kept free of personal items.
  7. Apartments shall be used as private residences only. Other than for use as a home office, conducting business on the premises is prohibited. As such, services such as day care, massage therapy, or business activities involving clients are not permitted.
  8. The use of the premises for any illegal purpose is strictly prohibited.
  9. The use and enjoyment of the common areas and common facilities are restricted to owners, their tenants, or registered guests.
  10. Each apartment is allotted one parking space. Marked spaces in the parking area shall be for the use of occupants of apartments so marked. As available, V-marked spaces may be used by bona fide visitors of apartment occupants only during the time of visit and not overnight. An occupant shall not use a V-marked space to park a second car.
  11. No parking space shall be used for dead-storage purposes. Except for common emergencies (e.g., flat tire, dead battery), no vehicle shall be repaired on the premises. Disabled vehicles shall be removed and repaired elsewhere.
  12. All vehicles shall be parked only in marked spaces and shall not extend more than 18 feet from the front of the space. There shall be no back-to-back parking of two automobiles in one space. Only automobiles, trucks not exceeding 3/4 tons, motorcycles, and mopeds may be parked on the premises.
  13. Dirt shall not be swept into the common area. It should be collected inside the apartment and deposited in the trash container.
  14. Loud or disturbing noise is prohibited at all times. Occupants shall reduce the volume of radios, stereos, TVs, etc., between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
  15. No dogs or cats are allowed on the premises at any time with the exception of Assistance Animal(s) as defined by the State of Hawaii. Occupants shall not keep a dog or cat as a pet, nor shall they keep a pet that is larger than the smallest breed of dog or cat. Occupants shall not feed stray dogs or cats on the premises. The owner of an Assistance Animal(s) shall keep it(them) under control by use of a leash, cage, or other physical means at all times animals are in the common areas and shall pick up and properly dispose of solid waste left in the common areas.
  16. Barbecuing is permitted ONLY along the rock wall near the trash container at the rear of the property.
  17. Children (i.e., persons under age 18) shall have adult supervision while on the premises. Outdoor play activities are limited to the front lawn.
  18. Tampering with common area lighting is prohibited.
  19. Air conditioners are prohibited. Dehumidifiers shall not be installed without the consent of the Board.
  20. Smoking is prohibited in the common areas.
  21. Owners and tenants shall not place large appliances, construction debris, packing crates, large pieces of furniture, large sections of carpeting and/or other flooring materials in the dumpster. Also, tires, flammable products, electronic devices, and toxic materials such as liquid paint, motor oil, and Freon are not to be put in the dumpster.
  22. Construction on the units can only occur during normal business hours (8AM to 5 PM) Monday thru Friday, and 9AM to 5PM on Saturdays, unless it is an emergency (e.g., burst pipe).
  23. Owners are required to submit proof of licenses for any electricians and plumbers to the Board for approval prior to any work being completed on their unit.
  24. Owners must notify the Board 48-hours prior to any shutdowns of electrical or water to the building. The Board will notify the Owners of the shutdowns as soon as the notice is received.
  25. House Rules Continued
  26. Violation of a house rule potentially subjects the OWNER of the offending apartment to a fine imposed by the Association, provided that the violation does not cease or is repeated after notice has been given to the OWNER.
  27. Non-Emergency Issues: To report a non-emergency violation, contact your apartment’s managing agent or owner, as the case may be. If your only contact is a managing agent, he or she shall contact the owner of your apartment. At this point, the owner of your apartment shall follow the Action Plan for addressing violations. As such, the Action Plan requires the owner of your apartment to contact both the managing agent and owner of the offending apartment. If the problem persists, the owner of your apartment shall contact the Association Secretary, who shall notify the Board of Directors.
  28. Emergency Issues: For any illegal activity (e.g., drug use, drug dealing), contact the police (911). If the illegal activity stems from a specific apartment, in addition to calling the police, contact your managing agent or apartment owner, as the case may be. If your only contact is a managing agent, he or she shall contact the owner of your apartment. Your apartment owner shall contact the Secretary, who shall notify the Board of Directors.
  29. For flooding (i.e., water from another apartment) or other building maintenance emergencies (e.g., gas leak), contact your managing agent, who shall contact the owner of your apartment. The owner shall contact the Board President.

Great beach location

We've been to the big island numerous times, but spent more time in the water this time because if the location. The condo is small and stuffy and could really use AC but other than that, we loved it!

Beach stay

The location was right across the street from a beautiful beach which was perfect. The description saying the unit was newly updated is a stretch. The unit was dated and needs a facelift. We were also put off by the property managements check out instructions stating to wash beach towels and any bath towels used over one for each person. The cleaning fee normally covers this. I did not appreciate having to spend my time while on vacation washing towels. Also there was no AC and with the unit being on the bottom floor we were not comfortable leaving the sliding glass door open at night as someone could easily get in while we were sleeping. It was hot and the fans provided did not help…and there was someone camping on the property behind the building, which was also contributed to our concern about keeping the door open at night.

Great location!

The unit couldn’t be better located! Across the street from white sands and a few minutes from town and other great locations. A couple of things need replacement. The big table on the lanai is rusted and old, the trash can in the kitchen doesn’t stay closed, the latch is broken. But overall it’s a very nice unit and comfortable. Good kitchen and comfy king size bed.

The unit couldn’t be better located! Across the street from white sands and a few minutes from town and other great locations. A couple of things need replacement. Great stay

Very nice studio. Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, efficient bathroom, nice furniture in the living room. We had a relaxing time, listening to the waves at night, getting up and walking across the street to our favorite beach. Allii Drive is busy during the day, and music can get a bit loud after dark. However, you can ignore this, or close the doors for a bit. These issues are far outweighed by the location. Close parking right behind the back door, sliding glass doors out the front toward the ocean. It was a bit above our budget, but provided a super relaxing, enjoyable stay. We will consider it one our top choices next time we travel to the Big Island.

Everything we hoped it was

We stayed at this property for almost 2 weeks while in Hawaii for a family wedding. It was well located. It was within walking distance of restaurants, beaches, and it even has a bike share right next to it. Parking is not an issue. The place is clean, located on the lower level next to washer and dryer and walk out to the beach by just crossing one road. The owner leaves lots of fans to keep the place cool. Full kitchen with lots of cooking utilities. We definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit.

Generally great place to enjoy Kona

The location is wonderful. Magic sand beach is just front and very easy to access shopping center, super store and other beaches.

Towels, kitchenette, and most stuffs are ready so it is very convenient to stay.

Just room needs more cleaning, especially the ceiling fans, drawers in the beds. 

And pillow cover size is not fitted to pillow. Smaller.

Great location if you have a car

The condo is in a great location, very clean, well furnished with a very comfortable bed. We didn't know that it did have air conditioning but with the door open there is a good cross breeze at night. It is on a busy street across from a popular beach so it can be noisy at night.

Great location & affordable

My husband and I loved staying at this sweet little condo. It seemed brand new! Bed is huge and comfortable and faces the ocean sunsets. The best part is that it is across the street from the best beach in Kona. It's also far enough from the craziness of downtown touristy Ali'i Drive. It is a studio so it was perfect for my husband and me.

Good location, nice place

It's a good location with access to the beach.Nice well maintained condo.

1 star less, since the main blinds were broken when we reached. But the maintenance guy arrived the very next day. Unfortunately, the broken part had to be ordered from the mainland so we had to manage with broken blinds during our stay. Overall it was an awesome place for beachgoers. Town/Restaurants are a bit far and not within walking distance.
