Surf and Racquet Club 6-303 is within steps of the water's edge. The living areas, master suite and its lanai, look out onto the shoreline which provides for unsurpassed views, as well as, the wonderful sound of the surf while you relax in paradise. At daybreak, from this condo, watch the frolicking dolphins and whales from your lanai. As sunset approaches, you will enjoy the breathtaking multi-colored skies, and cool breezes from both the ocean and mountain slopes. For your traditional Hawaiian morning stroll, you may meander along the cliff walk located steps from your lanai, or the superbly manicured tropical gardens, or through the ancient Hawaiian archaeological sites located right on the property.

The home opens into a bright and spacious open floor plan. This common living space consists of a kitchen, dining area, living room, and private lanai. The kitchen is well-equipped with all appliances and granite countertops to help a chef whip up their favorite dish. Call your guests over to the dining table with seating for six to have a meal together. If you would prefer to soak up every minute in the Hawaiian sun, step outside onto the lanai and dine alfresco. A patio table and chairs are arranged for you to dine in the coastal breeze.

Plenty of seating is arranged in front of a TV in the living room. Lounge in here with your loved ones while you watch TV or a movie at night. WiFi, a DVD player, and washer/dryer are provided for your convenience.

The sliding doors lead to the master bedroom. This room is furnished with a luxurious King-sized bed, ceiling fan, TV, and lanai access. The master bathroom has a large vanity and standalone shower. The guest bedroom is ideal if you are traveling with kids. There are two Twin-sized beds, a rollaway bed, and ceiling fan. The guest bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

A more vigorous workout of jogging or biking may be enjoyed on the world championship Triathlon course located outside your door along the famous Alii Drive. After your morning activities, you'll be sure to enjoy the expansive sparkling pool complex, volley ball court and BBQ area, which are all on site for your recreation and pleasure. The Keauhou Shopping Center is 1/4 mile away and offers grocery, drug and specialty stores, as well as a Cineplex theater complex.

The Surf and Racquet Club is a beautiful and highly desired oceanfront complex nestled between the lush grounds of the Kona Country Club and the popular Kahalu'u Beach Park. This beach park is a haven for snorkelers (where many reef fish eat out of your hands and sometimes rare green turtles may also be seen), boogie boarders and surfers alike, who enjoy the beautiful clear clean Hawaiian waters. The 36-hole Kona Country Club has hosted the LPGA. If tennis is your racquet, you'll find 3 lighted tennis courts for your personal enjoyment. This tropical paradise is located 5 miles from Kona.

Please note, this unit does not have air conditioning. Instead, there are ceiling fans located in each room.

Please note, this home will be undergoing new roofing and painting in August. Work will be done between 8AM to 5PM. There may be some dust and noise from the construction. Painting may cause the lanai to be blocked off for a few hours during this time period. Prices have been adjusted to reflect the inconvenience.

House rules

  1. Quiet hours shall be from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m, during which time the noise from the STVR shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
  2. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
  3. Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area.
  4. The KKSRC Board of Directors has approved vehicle parking passes for cars parked on the property.
  5. All vehicles need to display an approved vehicle pass when on the KKSRC grounds.
  6. Everyone must either have a decal, hang tag or pass displayed in their vehicle.
  7. Owners who vacation rent should leave a hang tag in their unit for their guest to use. If the guest does not return the hang tag to the unit when they leave, the owner should charge the guest the $10 replacement fee.

Good condo

Great property with lots of potential

This is a fantastic property in a perfect location, and we really enjoyed our time at this property. However, I would say it was "surface clean," and it would benefit from (and needs) a deep clean, some repairs (things like the screens on the lanai were fraying and didn't line up), and a visit from the exterminator. The third floor without AC is okay as long as you keep the sunshades down during the day and keep the screen doors and windows open at night. It really is a great place, and would be absolutely perfect with just a little work.

Centrally located condo, great for exploring the Big Island

My friends and I had a really great time at this property. Everything was clean and tidy and we really appreciated all of the beach gear. There were four of us and enough chairs and beach towels for all of us….the umbrella was great for beach lounging too. We had a number of home cooked meals out on the lanai and were able to take advantage of the communal bbq area as well. A few great things this condo has that made it stand out: super comfy and firm beds (not like the squishy ones you get at a hotel), great washer/dryer so you don’t have to pack a ton, lots of fans for every room…we didn’t even notice that there wasn’t AC, all cooking and kitchen amenities that you would need, and a very comfy lanai to read, chat and eat on. Overall, a really really great stay in a comfy condo. Thank so much!

We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen supplies including the Tupperware containers since we could take them out with us on day trips or to the beach.

Having the cooler bags and beach stuff was also great. The towels were a good sized beach towel and the chairs were perfect.

Adorable little condo!

We loved our stay and loved that this cute little condo was just a few minutes walk from a plaza that had everything we needed for our stay. We also could walk to a really nice beach just down the road. The whole family really enjoyed it, so much that we are planning to come back as soon as we can.

The unit was clean and roomy. We especially enjoyed the large lanai. The ceiling fans were generally sufficient for cooling but just barely. Thankfully the lanai had full shades to help. Pool was good and a short walk to the public beach with decent snorkeling. We would have liked to have ping pong paddles and balls. There were tennis racquets however which were appreciated.

A wonderful stay!

Beautiful view!!! We loved waking up in the morning to the palm trees outside the lanai. It was quiet and had a nice breeze. The complex has a nice pool but we never used it because we were always going to Kahalu'u Bay just 2 minutes away by car to go snorkeling in the morning. The apartment was very clean and nicely prepared. Grand Welcome left good instructions and called and checked in on us the morning following our arrival to make sure everything was going smoothly. We were very happy with our stay and are tentatively planning on returning to the same complex next year and booking through Grand Welcome again.

Fabulous

Comfortable and inviting space to explore the Kona area

We stayed five nights here and enjoyed the space, area grounds and opportunity to explore the Kona side of the Big Island. We found everything we needed for a comfortable stay with a well stocked kitchen and towels and other beach items (including chairs). We were comfortable in the condo despite lack of air conditioning. The ocean breeze and fans kept us cool. When we arrived we noted there was no hair dryer in the apartment. We called the management company, and they were very quick to respond and provide this item. Overall, the rental process was smooth and seamless with good communication. 

There are some nearby shops which were very convenient including a grocery and drug store and several restaurants. We also enjoyed a nearby Farmer's market on Sunday morning.

Overall, it was a good base to stay for a week.

Great place to stay only downfall is no ac

had a great time at the surf and racquet club the condo was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home only thing missing was air conditioning but there were plenty of fans to keep it from being to hot .

Spacious unit

This was a spacious unit with a wonderful view from the lanai. Was a bit concerned that there was no AC but with the fans and large sliding doors, this Alaskan was able to stay cool. The unit is on the third floor which can be a blessing and a pain. I thought it was more of a blessing! I would have liked to have a few more regular towels but we just ended up washing the ones they had. All-in-all, a wonderful condo close to the snorkel beach and close but not too close to town.
