Power outages are out of our control, but preparation for an emergency is within control of the management. Tremendous storms took out the power on Day 1. A roof leak, wet wood recently delivered, no kindling, lack of candles, batteries and charcoal for cooking put a dent in our pocket ($100). No communication as the office closed. Plus, description was 2 twin beds, but only one in the home. There was a pull out sofa, but I wouldn't have invited another couple if I knew it wasn't as described. Another sofa was in need of replacing - worn, uncomfortable, and not the quality you'd expect for Sea Ranch. Great location to walk along the coast and see the amazing surf. Requested some compensation due to the issues listed here, but never received any response. Very expensive for a glamping experience!!!

Very well-appointed and cozy house. It is in a great location and has everything you need for a lovely stay.

Best part was sitting in the private hot tub on the deck and looking at the exquisite blanket of stars and planets and, especially, the Milky Way galaxy. As residents of Los Angeles, that’s a real treat! We would have liked to have instructions for the dishwasher - it was not intuitive, but we did get it to work. We loved the quiet environment and the home was lovely. We missed having a real person give us the keys and welcome us - I know that’s not uncommon - it’s just a preference. We’d have preferred to be able to leave the keys in the house instead of driving north up to Gualala before our 5-hour drive south. We’d definitely return, now that we know our way around the area. The community pools, by the way, were excellent places to do lap swimming, and the employees were awesome.

So the house itself is charming, nice bedding and homey touches. Not only do I have a hearing condition, but we chose Sea Ranch specifically for the quiet. So with one bar of cell coverage I started calling Grand Welcome, took some pics and video, sent an email and by 11 am I had spoken is Jannett the manager through her very kind associate. Jannett immediately sprung into action and salvaged our vacation by placing us in a different and larger rental house. She was kind, compassionate and a total pro. Followed through on everything promised and Kathleen came to the new property when we had a problem getting in with the code just to make sure we got in okay. This is what real customer service looks like.

The house is clean and well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/pots/utensils, etc. Enjoyed the deer and other wild life that wandered through the property. Short walk to bluff trail.

My son and I had a great time! We biked to the rec center for some swimming, explored the many beaches at Sea Ranch and loved the hot tub at the end of the days! The house and kitchen were well supplied with everything you need - can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Really enjoyed the rental, close to get to the bluff trail. A few minor things need repair, it is missing a blind in the living room, the BBQ handle is broken, the fan in the bathroom screeches. Master bed is great, layout of the home is wonderful, hot tub was nice after long walks on the beach. Would definitely rent this home in the future.

Two adult kids and mom spent a great 5 days here. This place is lovely, even when it rains, and we really appreciated all the windows to watch the sea, the greenery, the deer, and the quail. The hot tub was perfect. We loved the short walk to the cliff path. The house itself is well-appointed with essentially one huge bed in the bedroom, and a twin up in the loft. Very comfy, with a very well-provisioned kitchen. The blue couch, much discussed in these comments, is, it's true, past it's time. But there is a love seat that's nice. A great trip - would happily return.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely return. I think the keys should be available by 3:30. Driving to Gualala was not a problem but it was raining and had to wait until exactly4:00. Other than that it wad a wonderful birthday get away.

Overall very nice. Only issue was quite noisy HVAC system. Best to turn off entirely at night, use only in the AM to heat up house, and hope for afternoon sun.

This house was perfect for our small family (2 adults, and kids ages 4, 7, & 3 months) for a 3 night getaway to Sea Ranch. The location is perfect - you can see the ocean from the back yard and deck and it is a 3 minute walk to the bluff trail. From the trail you can walk either north or south about 20 minutes or so to little beautiful beaches. The house was clean and had everything we needed - great cooking gear for all the meals we made (even a coffee bean grinder!). There is a big back yard with a huge tree - perfect for kids to play soccer or hide and go seek. The hot tub was lovely to soak in at night under the amazing stars. The loft room with a twin bed and a trundle under it was fun for our 2 daughters to sleep in. We were missing one item upon arrival and the management company received our request and brought it right over. The only downside of this whole stay was the check in process - you cannot pick up the gear (10min north of the house) until exactly 4pm. So you can't get in to the house until 4:30ish, which is a pretty late check in. It would be nice if the management company could move the key pick up time to at least 3pm so you can get into the house a little sooner. Or better yet, provide the key in a lockbox on the property so you don't have to go out of your way to pick up and drop off the key. But lovely place and we would stay here again in an instant!

Sweet house 5 minute walk to the bluffs overlooking the beach. 15 mins to a close beach and a little longer to a few other biggers ones. Quiet and private. One bedroom with a (small) bed in a loft above the living space. Hot tub!

If you enjoy privacy, the ocean, ocean life, pools, spas, tennis, walking/running trails, this place is for you. This house has so much privacy. The back deck looks out to the ocean. Additionally, you can relax in the hot tub during the sunset and watch the ocean. The pool facilities we super clean and spotless. The staff members were super nice. The house is well stocked. I would definitely go back to this house.

overall a very relaxed vacation spot the holmes are perfectly located for great privacy .clean and roomie for my family, great ocean access throughout the sea ranch .we will be spending next year here and hopefully many more.

Great cozy sea ranch home. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful cozy bedroom with nice king bed. Throughout the whole hous there are windows everywhere to bring in the outdoors and the sun. Yes it’s true the blue sofa is kinda goofy and all the cushions slide off onto the floor. But , that is the only complaint. This place is really nice and perfect for a couple or couple with young kids who would love sleeping in the loft

This is a great space for a nice coastal getaway. We really enjoyed the home and enjoyed our stay. The home is a little dated and could use some minor updates/improvements, but overall we had no major complaints. We were here to enjoy the area and needed a home base. This fit the bill perfectly and offers some nice accommodations. The hot tub and patio are excellent for enjoying the ocean breezes and view. There is an amazing tree in the backyard that I was able to hang a hammock in and nap while listening to the sounds of the ocean. The bedroom has plenty of space, the loft is nice, and you can even close off part of the living room to make an extra "bedroom" space. You're conveniently located to Gualala, which provides some nice dining options, gas, and two grocery stores. The Sea Ranch community is quite large and provides easy access to hiking/walking/running trails, beaches, parks, and golf. My only true complaint with the place is the check-in and check-out process. You have to pick up and drop off the keys and other items at the rental office. It would be much more convenient to put a keypad lock on the door and allow guests to simply show up at the home rather than going to the rental office. Overall a great experience and a home I'd stay at again.
