When to Visit Fort Myers

March and May – The best time to visit Fort Myers. The summer months see the most crowds, especially families, so plan to book at least three months in advance if you’ll be travelling then. 

June-August – Experience the hot and sweltering summer temps! Prepare for daily temperatures in the low 90s and remember to apply sunscreen every hour. Be sure to pack an umbrella for those frequent afternoon rain showers too. 

September-November – Although the crowds decrease, hurricane season persists. If you do not want large crowds and are willing to take a risk, visit during this time.  

December-February – Few people can resist mid- to upper 70-degree weather and clean beaches. Hotels recognize this and charge premiums, yet Fort Myers hotel rates are much lower here than in other Floridian destinations.
