Family fun in St. George

St. George is the largest city in southwestern Utah and offers a variety of activities for every age. Stunning hiking rails abundant and present hikes of any difficulty, with destinations of waterfalls and swimming holes for the kids to cool off in.

If climbing rocks is something your kids enjoy, check out Pioneer Park and let their imaginations run wild as they climb, jump, and explore the wild elevation and hidden caves. They can also test their bravery by attempting to hike through The St. George Narrows, a small slot canyon that appears impossible to get through. 

After all that hiking, you’ll be ready to relax at the beautiful Town Square Park, offering a an interactive water playground and plenty of shaded areas to relax or even have a picnic lunch.

Set aside one of your days to spend at Thunder Junction Park, an all-abilities seven-acre park that everyone can enjoy. With a dinosaur theme complete with waterfalls, splash pads, play structures and even a train, you can spend the whole day laughing, playing, and exploring.

Speaking of dinosaurs, the real-life dinosaur tracks at the Dinosaur Discovery Site and the Warner Valley Dinosaur Track Site will transport you to a different time when these amazing creatures roamed the earth, leaving clues by way of prints and fossils into how they lived their lives. Kids can help dig for fossils or learn about all things prehistoric in the museum.
