Pebble Beach Barking Seals

We loved our time and didn’t want to leave! The location is awesome - a short 5 minute walk to the ocean where we watched frolicking sea lions and the most amazing sunsets. The home is on a quiet tree-lined street and morning coffee in the courtyard is a slice of heaven. Inside is fresh, modern and well appointed. Great high-speed Internet allowed us to work remotely and in the evening we enjoyed board games and movies on the huge TV. Several times we made the short drive to The Lodge for happy-hour overlooking the 18th green, followed by a backyard BBQ where we could hear the seals barking in the distance. We can’t wait to come back!

We found a hidden Gem in Pebble Beach Barking Seals is a slice of heaven. As we sat in the courtyard we could hear the waves crashing and the seals barking. It's a short walk to Seal Rock and Bird Rock where the sand is so white and the water is absolutely breathtaking. This home offers every bit of comfort you could ask for, including big puffy white towels and comfy white robes that added a fun spa feeling to our stay. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen has everything you could ever need. There is also a BQ in the backyard, a large table to seat about 6 and rocking chairs to end your day. If this is for a couples getaway or a golfer's dream team of 10 this is the place for you. You can walk to SpyGlass golf course and see the deer laying on the grass. We enjoyed the 17 Mile Drive and stopped at a few wineries in the area. We finished with lunch at the 18th hole in Pebble Beach. This is truly a slice of paradise. 

Our family had the most wonderful month here. Every day before 8am a group of deer would have there way down the street and have part of there breakfast in the front yard. Then we would walk down the road, or take a short drive to the majestic rocky beaches to watch the waves and sea lion colony at bird rock. At low tide we would explore the tidepools. We also played in the water surfing and took our dog to play at Seal beach. For dinner we ordered in or went for take out in Monterey and Carmel. Also hiked in the forest, and went golfing at Pebble. The home itself is modern and comfortable. It takes a bit of gas to heat in the winter, but all the glass brings the outside light in. The bedding was cozy, the maser bathroom beautiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Love staying at Barking Seals, and yes, you can hear the seals bark! The home is very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. Enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the beach. Great location to bike ride from - to ride along the coast, Carmel, Pacific Grove or Monterey. Love all of the thought that went into setting this home up as a relaxing get away/retreat to enjoy the Central Coast or to just "chill" with a good meal, wine and restful slumber.
