Nestled in the heart of Carnelian Bay, our classic cabin-style home has been fully updated as the perfect luxury getaway for any traveler looking for a true Tahoe feel! Our carefully decorated abode boasts peeled pine trim throughout, adding a rustic touch to the home's polished aesthetic. From the hand-carved details to the comfortable furnishings, every inch of this home has been designed with your ease and relaxation in mind. With several decks offering breathtaking lake views, a barbeque on the main deck, and flatscreen TVs in every room, you won't miss a beat when it comes to recreation and entertainment. And for those outdoor enthusiasts, hiking and biking trails are abundant in the neighborhood, with a trailhead just a few blocks from our property. So, pack your bikes and skis (which you can store in the garage), and get ready to experience all that Tahoe has to offer!

This home sleeps up to 10 guests between 2 private bedrooms, the separate studio apartment over the garage, and extra sleeping space in the home’s loft.

Bedroom #1 has a queen size bed and tv.

Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed, tv, private balcony, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

The studio apartment is located above the garage which is a separate structure from the house. Please note that you must walk outside to reach the studio from the main house. The studio apartment is furnished with a queen size bed, 2 twin size beds, a seating area with small tv, and a café table. The studio has a full bathroom with soaking tub, walk-in shower, and beautiful wooded views. A coffee maker and microwave are also provided in this space for extra comfort and convenience, while the private balcony features stunning views that extend all the way to the lake.

The loft is furnished with 2 twin size beds. This semi-private space receives gorgeous natural light from the main living area’s floor to ceiling windows.

THINGS TO NOTE:
The main house has an additional bathroom with shower/tub combo.
1 garage parking space is available, perfect for travelers visiting during snowy months. There are 2 additional spaces available in the front of the garage, and 1 additional space in the driveway.
Dogs under 35 lbs. are permitted with the exception of winter months when there is snow on the ground – no dogs allowed in the winter. We require guests to kennel/crate dogs when leaving pets alone on the property. We do not allow pets on bedding and we kindly request that guests pick up all dog waste and dispose of it before leaving property.

It’s no secret that world-class skiing is only a short drive away. Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley are all within easy reach! Although this stay puts you in the heart of Tahoe ski country, there is a wide spread of activities to enjoy year-round in the surrounding areas. Miles of both paved and dirt trails for hiking and biking of all levels are nearby. For hiking right in our neighborhood, make a left out of driveway (on Huckleberry) and then make your first left onto Woodchuck. Follow until it dead ends and you will find the trail head. The trail head extends into multiple trails that you and your group will enjoy. Head out to popular beaches on Lake Tahoe’s crystal blue water or find a private cove with unforgettable swimming. From boating and water sports to fishing and kayaking, there’s no shortage of activities on the water. Our favorite beaches are Moon Dune Beach in Tahoe Vista, Kings Beach, and Sand Harbor in Incline which is spectacular. If you like paddle boarding, we enjoy Watermans Landing just down the street on the lake. They also have good coffee, great lake views, and light sandwiches.

When you’re not hitting the slopes or exploring the lake, Tahoe’s entertainment scene is waiting to impress. Local art galleries, shopping boutiques, live entertainment, iconic food spots, and bustling nightlife fill the vibrant communities of North Lake Tahoe.

= Weather =
Weather can change rapidly. We encourage guests to check the weather routinely before their arrival so they know what to expect.

= Travel =
Changes in weather will impact roadways, which may result in road closures. We encourage guests to plan for travel by making sure vehicles are in good condition and prepared with 4WD or chains to drive in the snow. Guests should also bring paper maps as cell service can be limited.

= Wildlife =
Bears live at Lake Tahoe, too. Do not leave any food or toiletries in your car. Lock all doors and windows when not in use. Do not leave any trash outside. If you see a bear, do not approach it. Secure all children and pets from disturbing the wildlife – it’s their home too.

= Trash =
Trash must always be secured in bear-proof garbage cans (we call them bear boxes) or in communal dumpsters. Do not leave any trash outside.

= Fires =
Outdoor wood or charcoal fires are prohibited year-round. Guests may not build, create, or bring outdoor fire-pits to any property. During Red-Flag Warnings, all open flames are prohibited (even gas).

= Starter Supplies =
We’ll provide some basic supplies in the home for your stay including 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, 2 rolls of paper towels in the kitchen, a fresh dish sponge, dish soap, and a few loads of dishwasher soap, laundry detergent (if you have on-site laundry), and some trash bags. Supplies are provided for your convenience, but if you need more, you’ll need to purchase them for your stay.

= Local Regulations =
Vacation rental properties are regulated by local agencies. Guests are expected to maintain compliance with occupancy, parking, trash, exterior lights, quiet hours, and fire restrictions at all times. Failure to abide by the regulations may result in fees or a removal from the property without refund.

= Trip Insurance =
Sometimes even the best laid plans fall through. We encourage guests to plan for the unexpected by purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.
