Chalet in the Pines

Chalet in the Pines will be your perfect rental! This adorable little gem is in the very snowy and quiet neighborhood of North Upper Truckee. It’s about 20 minutes to Heavenly Ski Resort, 30 mins to Sierra at Tahoe, 25 minutes to the casinos and 10 minutes to the lake. The famous Kirkwood ski resort is about 45 minutes away and easily accessible via the nearby highway 50. This 1,256 sqft home has 3 bedrooms plus a small loft and 2 bathrooms. It sleeps 7 total on 1 twin bed and 3 queen beds. There is a hot tub, gas BBQ, 2 car garage, WIFI, Smart TV with cable, gas fireplace and much more!

IMPORTANT - please read!
• We recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance, as we do not refund for COVID, smoke, fires, weather, road closures, etc.
• This home, like most in Tahoe, does not have AC but we do provide fans.
• Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal BBQs are STRICTLY prohibited.
• Bears and other wildlife frequent this area so make sure to lock up when you leave the home, lock your car doors and view from afar. Do not leave trash outside.
• Spiders, cobwebs and little mountain mice are common in the mountains.
• During the Winter, please carry chains and check CalTrans for road conditions.
• The BBQ is not serviced in the winter due to the temperature and snow levels.
• You will pay for an “Accidental Damage Waiver Policy”. You are covered for anything seen as accidental. Anything seen as neglectful, you will be charged for.
• Most of our homes have exterior only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance.
• If you are in anyway not satisfied, please text our local team as we prefer to handle issues when you are here to ensure your stay with us exceeds expectations!
• Reviews are very important and not to be taken lightly. We ask that you have some grace and compassion when leaving one. We will do the same for you. Remember, this is someone’s home before it is a rental.

This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.
