Beachfront Bijou is one of few condo’s on the South shore that is located right on the beach. Just walk right out the back sliding door and onto the sand. Can you feel the sand between your toes??The views of Lake Tahoe from here are absolutely breath taking. Old blue couldn’t look any prettier! This condo is a smaller 1 bedroom condo that is most comfortable sleeping 2 but can sleep up to 4. Two on the queen bed in the bedroom and 2 on the double sofa bed in the living room. We’ve hosted honeymooners, those celebrating their anniversaries, small families and so many other wonderful guests! Come experience why this home is a staff favorite!

COUNTY RENTAL LAWS
(Pertains to all homes in Tahoe. Up to $2,000 fine and possible eviction if not followed.)
1. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals
2. Trash goes into the dumpster only and is not to be left outside
3. We cannot host extra people at this home or allow parties.
4. No extra cars, parking on the street OR on the dirt.

IMPORTANT - please read before booking!
- INDIVIDUALLY OWNED: These units are individually owned condos and therefore this home does NOT include access to the hotel pool, hot tub, BBQ pits, beach chairs or volleyball court next door. You will only have access to the gorgeous beach right outside your sliding door but we think the lake is the best part anyway! 😉
- BUSY CONDO: This home is located in a popular beach front condo complex with other units on top of and on the sides of this home. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best spot for you.
- SANDY: Being that this unit is beachfront, sand naturally gets drug in and can re-dirty the floors very easily. We ALWAYS sweep and mop between guests.
- PARKING: This home comes with 2 unassigned first come, first serve parking spots right outside of the condo. There are parking passes inside the condo hanging by the front door.
- QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: This home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. In Tahoe, it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop. As a result, we prefer to host quiet groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Everyone in your party will need to be out of the hot tub, if there is one, and inside by 10pm. We appreciated it!
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We HIGHLY recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance, as we normally do NOT refund for COVID, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc. We cannot stress this enough.
- WINTER TRAVEL WARNING: During the Winter, it’s required by law that all vehicles in Tahoe carry chains, even 4WD vehicles. It is NOT recommended that you come in a mini van, Tesla or other low profile vehicle. Our roads are steep and icy so even when it’s not snowing, Tahoe is hard to navigate. We recommend SUVs, Subarus and Trucks with snow/all-terrain tires. We also recommend having some Winter driving experience.
- POWER OUTAGES: Power outages are VERY common in Tahoe. They are especially common during Winter storms. Tahoe homes do not have generators so if the power goes out, the heat might also go out. Coming to Tahoe during the Winter requires a lot of patience and a sense of adventure.
- NO AC: This home, like most in Tahoe, does not have AC but we do provide fans.
- HOME OWNER OWNED: This home is owned by a family or private owner and not by an investor, so you will be renting someone’s home. Grand Welcome does not own this home but helps the owner to manage it.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal BBQs are STRICTLY prohibited.
- BEARS: Bears and other wildlife frequent this area so make sure to lock up when you leave the home, always lock your car doors and view from afar.
- MOUNTAIN LIFE: Spiders, cobwebs and little mountain mice are common in the mountains. 
- BBQ/DECKS: The BBQ is not serviced and the decks are not shovelled in the winter due to the low temperatures and high snow levels.
- DAMAGE WAIVER: Built into your clean fee is an “Accidental Damage Waiver Policy”. You are covered for anything seen as accidental and anything seen as neglectful, you may be charged for. It’s best to report all damage to us when it occurs. We are pretty understanding!
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras and the exterior ones are not monitored. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels 🙂
- SATISFACTION: If you are in anyway not satisfied, please text our local team as we prefer to handle issues when you are here to ensure your stay with us exceeds expectations! If we are alerted to issues after check out, you may not be refunded so it’s important to report them right away.
- REVIEWS: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” Same is true for reviews. We please ask that you have some grace and compassion when leaving them and we will do the same when we review you. Remember, that this is someones home before it’s a rental. The owners will see and take your review to heart. Very much appreciated! #spreadlovenothate
- DIRECTIONS: This complex is located behind CVS and to the right of the Lakeshore Lodge. When you drive back there you will see the Lakeshore lodge right ahead. Drive to your right and you will see the building you are staying in. It's the first building to your right closest to CVS (behind Heidi's pancakes).

LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so please respect the 10am check out time. They arrive promptly at 10am.

LOCAL TEAM: This home will be stocked with a starting set of supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. If you need more than what is provided, shoot our local team a text. We do a detailed inspection prior to your arrival to make sure everything is ready for you, but we are human and occasionally stuff is missed. If this happens, please let us know right away so we can make it right!

House rules

  1. By booking this home you are saying that you agree to are fully in compliant with the following:
  2. -Must be 25 or older to book this home.
  3. -This is a non-smoking home.
  4. -Pets of any kind are not allowed unless specified.
  5. *We are fully in compliant with all of the county rental laws which are as follows:
  6. 1. No parties or excessive noise.
  7. 2. No extra people including children.
  8. 3. Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am.
  9. 4. No hot tub use allowed after 10pm.
  10. 5. No street or on dirt parking.
  11. 6. No trash left outside. Trash must be stored in the bear proof trash enclosure on site.
  12. -Guests who fail to follow the county rental laws may be required to vacate the premises with NO REFUND and can result in fines of up to $2,000. This may seem harsh but we have to protect our owner’s permits. We appreciate the understanding.
  13. -This home is in a quiet neighborhood where neighbors WILL unfortunately alert the police if local laws are not abided by.
  14. -Most of our homes have EXTERIOR security cameras like Nest and Ring. There are never any interior cameras.
  15. -This home does not have AC, as all homes in Tahoe are not built with AC.
  16. -We do not refund for weather, road conditions, smoke, etc so please purchase travel insurance!

Beautiful views and beach access

Wonderful location. You are right on a private beach, with no travel required for a beach day with beautiful views of Tahoe. It is also close to a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. The unit itself is simple, yet has all the basics that you need. Our one complaint is the dirty floors. They clearly were not mopped, and the bottoms of our feet were black after walking around when we first arrived. It’s a bummer knowing we pay a cleaning fee! We recommend bringing socks or sandals to wear around the house.

Cozy Cottage in Bend

Great Property within walking distance of dining, shops, coffee etc. Property was clean, and well equipted to cook if you so desired. We had coffee there but did not otherwise take advantage of the other kitchen ameneties. Bed was comfortable, the AC's kept the home cool. Washer and Dryer was a plus as was the nice backyard for sitting and relaxing after a busy day when the temps cooled off. Shower had great pressure and was spacious. The AOS soap and lotion were lovley. Didnt get a chance to find the shop to purchase. Private Driveway, although there was a car parked across the street and one right in front of the house which make pulling in and out a bit tricky with a big truck, but my husband is great at parking no worries for him. If I had to park the truck it would of been another story. Neither vehicle moved the entire time we were there, Wi Fi worked great. The Manager was responsive to all inquires. Would totally stay there again in a heartbeat when visiting our Daughter in the future.

Perfect Tahoe beach getaway for 2

Unbelievable beach view and access. It's a short walk to rent paddle boards, or to dazed and confused for donuts and coffee, and so many more convenient shops and restaurants that are RIGHT there. The location is really unbeatable. It's a small, clean condo just perfect for a couple looking for a Tahoe beach getaway.

South Lake Tahoe on the Beach!

Enjoyed being so close to the Lake. Morning strolls along the beach and sitting on patio watching the sunset. Only issue was avoiding two birds that attacked anyone walking on the sidewalk in the complex????. Be advised that there are multiple condo buildings, and this unit seemed to be the only one that could not use the hotel pool next door. Not a problem for us, but others might not like that!

Itʻs right on the lake, excellent parking situation, friendly staff, clean and well maintained. On our third night there was a large family upstairs and they were noisy, but for most of the stay it was peaceful and the condo was very comfortable and convenient and the location is very convenient - close to Whole Foods, restaurants.

Wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation. Everything at the condo was as described, including the noise, but a set of earplugs helped 😉 It should be noted that the bbq takes the small green bottles and they are not available in the area so bring some with if you plan to bbq. Overall it was a great location for a nice vacation!

Perfect for our small family!

This location is perfect if you are a small family (4 or less) who plan on playing in the lake everyday. we loved that we could walk out from the condo to the lake and paddle around early morning and late evening when the water is calm. Its super walkable for meals and groceries. we werent allowed to use the patio BBQ so dont bother bringing propane. And the pool is off limits for guests of this unit as well. We would have enjoyed those things but it didnt affect our trip much. Tahoe lodging isnt cheap in summer but this condo was a wonderful place for our family's mid-week getaway. We stayed 3 nights.

The view was great. Nice to have a private beach to walk out too with a little kid. The space was a bit small for us but it made due. Unfortunately I had to mop the floors when we got there because of how dirty they were as soon as we showed up. Overall though a nice place!
Thank you for your feedback and glad you had a good time! We have a hard time keeping the floors clean here because it’s so close to the lake and the sand, literally right out the back door. We purchased a Shark steam mop just for this house that the cleaners use that is kept in the front closet so rest assured it’s mopped after every guest. Thank you!

A Lovely Stay!

The location is perfect and the unit is great for a couple or small family!! Just a short walk across the grassy lawn outside of the unit's patio to a private beach. It's right next to a CVS to purchase snacks and essentials. A few small things to note - the bathroom is quite small, the unit gets quite dusty, and there's lots of goose poop on the lawn outside of the unit. Other than that, it's a great place
