Summer Mountain Fun for the Entire Family

No matter the age, there are activities for your kids that will keep them excited and entertained – yes, even the teenagers! Even better, they’ll get a much-needed break from screen time by spending it instead experiencing all the thrills the great outdoors and has to offer in Park City. With mountain ranges towering over 9,000 feet, fun will be taken to entirely new heights.

Deer Valley Resort is a wonderful place to take the kids during the summer months, as they offer camps designed for kids to make new friends and have some fun. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, crafts, and scavenger hunts are just a few of the things they offer, and the best part is kids get to be with other kids their own age. For older kids, there are activities such as sailing, paddleboarding, and bike lessons, among others.

The Park City Mountain Adventure Park is another great option in the warmer months, open from late May to early September, and offering thrills like the alpine coaster, a rollercoaster through the forest, and alpine slide.

Head to the water to cool off at the Rockport State Park and play on the beach, paddleboard out into the lake, or play on one of the giant floating trampolines.

If the weather forces you indoors, you must check out Woodward Park City, an adventure sports complex with a massive indoor facility for skateboarding, trampolines, and ramps with foam pits to try out wild stunts.
Finally, if you still need to burn off some of that wild kid energy, head over to Utah Olympic Park to tackle obstacle courses inspired by Olympic events. There’s an alpine slide, extreme tubing down a modified ski hill, ropes courses, and of course a zipline. The ropes courses are designed for all ages and skill levels and will both challenge your kids and leave them feeling accomplished.
