Throughout most of the state of Tennessee and into the northern part of North Carolina runs the Great Smoky Mountains, America’s most visited national park. The Smoky Mountains get their name from the natural fog hanging over the range and giving the illusion of plumes of smoke from a distance. This fog only adds to the beauty and mystique of this constantly evolving range.
