We enjoyed our stay on Alder Creek Road. The house was exactly as described, including the hot tub and the electronic keyboard that were the key features for us. Comfortable beds and pillow. And even bonus that there were sleds we could use in the garage. Perfect location between Sugarbowl and Northstar - we went to both while staying there.

This place gets a 99%. We were there at the beginning of the first storm and it was fun and actually there were local brownouts and a blackouts gotta be at least 10’ in 3-4 days. We were expecting the storm so of course a wood burning stove is essential for this type of stuff and the Truckee public utility and plowing workers do an amazing job despite the blizzard conditions. My only minor gripe and why the place doesn’t get 100% is because we felt alone digging our car out from the top of the driveway. The local plowing service actually blocked off the top of the driveway rather than clearing it, adding lots more work our departure warning. And there was a small gas plow in the garage but it wasn’t available because of reasons that per policy make sense, but practically a big annoyance and this job could have been cut down by 5 hours… Just always be aware of the forecast and conditions it’s gnarly and lovely

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad you enjoyed the cabin and were able to make the most of the storm, and it’s great to hear the wood-burning stove and local services helped during those challenging conditions. We understand that digging out your car can be tough—our snow removal is handled by a professional third-party vendor who typically plows around 4 AM when 4–7 inches accumulate. While we can provide shovels for guest use, hosts are unable to manually dig out vehicles due to safety and liability concerns, as well as insurance limitations. We appreciate your understanding and hope these guidelines help future guests prepare for heavy snow. We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime for another Tahoe getaway!

Amazing place for the price and lots of nature surrounding! Everything was so beautiful and easy to use. One thing we did notice was in the listing it says there is two queen beds, but they were both definitely fulls, which made sleeping arrangements a little difficult. In the bottom bathroom there were hairs on the wall, but I’m not a clean freak so I didn’t mind. Other than that, everything was amazing and would definitely stay again especially in winter time since they have lots of skis and snow equipment!

Everything the host described in the booking was just as it was when we arrived. Everything was clean, nice & homey house, definitely worth the stay! My ONLY hiccup was when we arrived, the code we were provided with did not work so we waited outside while Grand Welcome found a solution. Overall it was a great stay & everything was smooth!

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! The woody, open feel and inviting backyard were highlights. It's perfectly located near Lake Tahoe and even closer to Lake Donner, where we enjoyed fishing and paddle boarding. We also found some great coffee shops nearby. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.
