Tahoe City Retreat - For 8!

Overall the place was very nice, my only strong complaint was how loud the ceiling creaked when you were on the first floor. Sleeping in the first floor bedroom was very difficult due to the noise when people moved around upstairs. Additionally the place did not offer enough towels, everyone got one towel for 5 days.

Wonderful cabin! Very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay. Good location, very close to tahoe city and Palisades. And, we really like the hot tub! Several miner issues: 1. The bear box(trash bin) is full. We have no place to put our trash 2. The drive way is a slope. Our car was stuck in the snow for a while. 3. The rooms are cold! Heater seems only heat the living room.

The place was comfortable and in a great location, making it easy to get around Lake Tahoe. The host was responsive and helpful with parking, and although the listing stated a two-car maximum, we were able to fit three cars in the driveway. The heated floors were a nice feature, especially on the first floor. However, the second floor felt cold, and on a windy night it seemed some windows were not fully sealed. The bedding was thinner than expected, but extra sheets were available. Cleanliness was below expectations. We found fake eyelashes on scissors, and some dishes were not clean and needed to be washed after before use. The dishwasher also did not work properly, leaving stains and oil after a cycle. At checkout, the trash bins were full, so we informed the host and left the trash inside. Overall, the stay was fine due to location and comfort, but it did not feel as spacial as shown in the photos. I would consider booking again at a lower price with improved cleanliness.

A few points to consider before booking: - The first picture shows two buildings; However only the right one is accessible to the renters which is not clear in their listing - There is a very small gathering area with only one L-shaped couch and two chairs which is definitely not enough for 8 people - No dining table; only a high top kitchen counter with 4 stools; definitely not suitable for a proper family meal; half of our group had to eat standing up - no laundry in the house - almost no heating (and most probably cooling) upstairs; we set the thermostat to 75; downstairs felt like a sauna while upstairs was still very chilly - horrible communication and response time by host company; We asked them for electric heaters and they never responded - We arrived on a snowy day facing a huge pile of snow on the driveway; Had to shovel a lot of snow (with a small broken shovel left at the front) to be able to park our car; expected them to clean out the driveway at least for check in

We understand that arriving to a snowy driveway can be challenging—snow removal is handled by a third-party vendor and is typically plowed around 4 AM when 4–7 inches accumulate. We have also replaced the snow shovel for guest use and there is ice melt for guest to use as well. Your input gives us valuable insight to make the property even better for future guests. Great place! Hot tub was amazing, loved the kitchen & all the rooms. I will suggest bringing your own extra towels as there is just enough for one use but without a dryer or washer you’ll definitely need a few more! Other than that it was great. Plus there are heated floors

Had a hard time checking in and operating the lock. The place did not have many towels and some of the towels had a weird smell. It was very cold upstairs even though the thermostat was turned on high. Place was clean although we did find some spiders. Good location but probably won’t stay here again.

We had a great stay! Very clean and cozy. We had a couple of things that didn't work - fireplace and dishwasher - but they were very responsive and took care of everything in a timely fashion. Hot tub and stringlights were lovely. I have no complaints and would come back!

My family and I are all cooks. And for months we'd been trash talking each other on text about having a grilled cheese competition and how we were going to cream the other members of the family. The big appeal of this particular Airbnb , besides the awesome location, was a very nice kitchen. There were good knives and they had a Boos block. It's a big glorious butcher block. It was the same one we have at home. There was plenty of nice white dishware, a good-sized dishwasher, a wonderful deep sink, and lots of counter space and storage area for the various extra crap that we brought along for our contest. I loved their cutlery and should have paid attention to who made it so I could buy a set. We used the hot tub a lot and when the lights were off at night and we could look up at the stars it looked glorious. We are avid mountain bike riders and rode up nearby Silver Tip Road to the dead end and found a great network of trails and had an absolute blast. We'll be back!

We had a great time staying in this house. The house was comfortable and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking . We enjoyed beach amenities a lot, best beach in Tahoe in my opinion. The only downside was a lack of washer and dryer, for a long stay it felt little bit uncomfortable. Definitely recommend staying here for family vacation on Lake Tahoe.

Very fun place to stay! Matched the description perfectly. When we got there the floors needed to be cleaned. When I contacted the host, they responded very fast and had it fixed right away. Would definitely go back again!

The place was absolutely beautiful, However, they do not provide you with cleaning supplies. I messaged them and they said that they do not provide those. First Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at that did not. And there were mice. Unfortunately it’s not the first Airbnb. I stayed at that. Had mice either.

Communication on check in and check out was great. I did not need to reach out for basic things or at all. I do want to say check out times (10am) was too early for me but was not a deal breaker. Other than that it was a great place and we are considering coming back to this cabin!

The house matched the description listed & its photos : clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed the bunk bed but we didn’t see any board games. Close to the lake and beach but far away enough from being touristy. Enjoyed the big open kitchen where we were able to cook our meals. No AC so the 2nd floor bedrooms got quite warm. Thankfully, we kept our windows opened for the breeze at night since we were there on warmer days. Also no washer or dryer in house so we weren’t able to wash our towels from going to the beach daily. The house is part of the Lake Tahoe Association HOA so we took advantage of the private beach and park nearby. Take note it’s a pebble covered beach, not sandy beach. For those with an EV, you can charge right outside the garage so we found that to be of convenience.

We really enjoyed staying here! We had a little trouble with the keypad to enter, but with an easy call and helpful instructions we were able to get inside! The place was beautiful and the neighbors are great! Also the access to the Tahoe Park Association was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend staying here!!

This was a beautiful, relaxing stay. Great for adults & children. Had a kids room with beds & games , Hot tub was perfect just wish the hours were a little later to be able to enjoy it during the night . Rooms were clean, comfortable beds , LOVED the heated floors !!! 10/10 stay. Will stay here again some day .

We enjoyed our stay! Just before we arrived, we received a text saying there was a problem with one of the toilets. They had a plumber out to fix things right away. Communication was great! We really enjoyed the hot tub and the deck. The private beach access was fun too. The place was clean and comfortable. We’d definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay at Grand Welcomes listing. The house was amazing and was exactly how it was described in the listing. The listing called for 2 car parking but the parking lot was good enough so we were able to squeeze in 4 SUVs. The kitchen had brand new appliances and all of them were functioning perfectly except for blender which was excused. The house has an awesome ration of beds to bath which made it easy for 8 of us. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed in Tahoe City and loved this mountain lodge. It has the perfect mountain-hut theme, with charming furniture that added so much joy to our vacation.The hot tub was excellent quality and made for a relaxing experience after our days out. The lodge is very close to the town center, yet still tucked away on quiet hills—giving us the best of both worlds.
