REVIEWS: We kindly ask for understanding and compassion when sharing feedback about this home, just as we strive to approach responding to reviews with empathy. We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings.

WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: Due to the potential of heavy snowfall, we recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.

SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance, but we take our guests' privacy very seriously. There are never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes.
MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitoes, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.
BE BEAR AWARE - Tahoe is bear country—secure food and lock vehicles. Do not leave garbage or food of any kind outside the home. Trash must be locked up in your bear-proof container, never in your neighbor’s container, or dumped anywhere in Tahoe Donner.

Overall the cabin was what we were looking for. It had some great benefits like a separate dining room that accommodated my family of 7. Restrooms, bedrooms and living areas were clean. Overall experience I would give a 3.5/5. \n\nI realize our reservation was during the Christmas holiday and we have stayed at other ABB's during the holidays in the past and lower our expectations accordingly. \n\nCommunication with the property management was extremely SLOW, near nonexistent. It was made to sound like a private crew was coming to blow our driveway but we found out it was the city with no real discernible schedule. So we spent 2 hrs digging ourselves out each day to make it out to Boreal and into town for supplies. \n\nI'm sure its a great spot during the summer and spring. Winter renters be ready for some back breaking work. If they had left a portable snow blower for us to use, I'd put it as a 4/5.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad the cabin worked well for your family and that the living areas were clean. For winter stays, the city handles street plowing, while a third-party vendor takes care of the driveway in the early morning hours. We appreciate your notes regarding additional shovels or a portable snow blower and will review this with our team to help improve the winter experience for future guests. We hope you were still able to enjoy your time in the area and would love to host you again in a season better suited for this cabin.

The management team is responsive. But the room is dusty. The floor is dusty and we see dust on the bedsheet. We experienced toilet out of order but the team do send maintenance coming for that. There was no AC, which is expected, but unfortunately the days we stayed was really hot.

Overall had a good time and it is a cool location. The house does need some work for what it is priced at tho. (i.e. deck/gates are falling apart, window screen upstairs has holes, makeshift shelving in bathroom, doors jammed, ect.)

Thank you, Jordan, for your feedback. We're glad to hear you had a good time and enjoyed the location! We appreciate you pointing out the areas in need of attention—your comments about the deck, window screens, and other maintenance items have been noted, and we’re working with our team to address them. Your input helps us improve, and we’d love the opportunity to host you again in the future!

Poorly maintained older home that is dog friendly but had multiple stains in living room carpet. Door to bonus room upstairs stuck, very old appliances and fridge froze all my veggies. Tried to make ice cubes but all trays stinky even after washing. Broken gates and missing pickets on deck. We knew this was an older, simpler home but carpet was gross.

Great place. Would stay again. Great back deck with grill, and plenty of rooms and beds for family fun. Very close to Truckee and Lake Donner, and easy access to Tahoe City.

A perfect cabin for a weekend if you like snowboarding or hiking during the day and chilling at night. While the appliance is a bit old, they still function fairly well and we can made some easy dinner. The place is very clean, quiet and cozy. The parking is easy too, which is important when visiting during the snow season. We all had a great time staying at this cabin. Would definitely recommend this place and hope that we can come back again.
