Everything was nice! Warm & Cozy! Perfect for a weekend getaway. I only had trouble opening the door initially but the number they provided supported well! It does get cold in the room upstairs so I recommend bringing extra blankets! The rooms at the bottom were fine!

Cozy cabin with a beautiful cabin interior 2nd floor room with comfortable beds. None of the rooms have en suite bathrooms, but the master room on level 2 shared a nice working and sitting area on the same floor. The 2 rooms on the lower floors are simpler and smaller. 20 mins to sierra and heavenly both. We didn't use the hot tub or encounter any bears.

Great location for accessing Sierra and Kirkwood. Kid and dog friendly with a relaxing hot tub setup in the back yard. We had some cold nights below 20 during our stay and made great use of the wood stove, which kept the house very cozy. Would definitely recommend this place!

The space was great for our group of six—super comfortable and cozy. The location was great and made getting around really easy. The hot tub was a huge highlight of the stay. Heating worked really well, and the extra space heaters were a nice touch. We enjoyed our weekend stay!

Stayed here with my family of 6 including our 2 young boys for NYE. Very cute home in a nice, safe community near Sierra at Tahoe. Nice beds and lots of games to play. A few inconveniences - Construction ongoing for garage, so parking in driveway only. The communication with host was slow (up to next day response time on concerns and requests), and the driveway / walkways were covered by 4"-6" of snow. The snow even buried the shovel so we had to request a 2nd shovel to clear the walkways for safety. We also noticed it was an aging home - The electrical outlets in kitchen and bathroom were easily shorted and the convection oven was not working. An electrician came out to replace a GFCI outlet but couldn't fix the oven. Also, the wall heater didn't quite heat the bedrooms so we used the space heaters each night. Overall, the home was nice but there were some challenges that made the stay a little more stressful than desired.

We really enjoyed our stay! The space was comfortable and a great place to land after long days exploring Tahoe. It’s tucked a bit off the beaten path, so expect to drive 15–30 minutes to most restaurants and activities—but that also makes it peaceful and quiet. We especially loved the hot tub—it was so relaxing and perfect for the crisp fall weather. A couple of small touches could make the stay even better: some coffee in the unit (there’s a coffee maker but no coffee provided) and a few cozy blankets for the couch area, which would make it more inviting for a TV or movie night. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great home base for our Tahoe trip!

We stayed at Rustic Haven for 5 nights in September 2025. While I wish there would have been a few additional amenities, such as downstairs blinds on the windows and a few amenities in the kitchen, we enjoyed this property very much! The location was perfect for us, allowing us to explore the beautiful outdoors of the Tahoe area. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing! The entire feel of the house was cozy and just what we needed. We would definitely stay here again should we find ourselves vacationing in the Tahoe area again!

We really enjoyed our time. The place is in a good location pretty close to the strip where there are a lot of restaurants and a grocery. It had pretty scenery with mountains on other sides. The house was well taken care of but appeared older. There was a dislodged arm to the sofa however their team was super responsive and came the next day to attend to that. Couple important notes: the quiet time is strict. The hot tub is located in an area where you would not be able to sneakily use it lol, the house is surrounded with neighbors so although it is quiet, the space isn’t really private. The other part is to bring your quality of life stuff with you; there was only a few spices in the cabinet, no clothing iron or blow dryer. Overall, we enjoyed the space and the team was easy and great to work with.

Had a great stay at this cozy little cabin, Central to all our daily plans. The upstairs room does get hot in the summer, but luckily they had a nice large fan to cool the room in the evenings saw lots of “wildlife “at the cottage. Would consider staying here again thank you for the hospitality.

Overall a lovely stay- clean airbnb, responsive host, safe area, great hot tub, and amenities! Our only issues were the string lights outside did not work, which made it hard to enjoy outside. The upstairs room/area was extremely hot during the summer - even with the fan on. And the downstairs bathroom door was difficult to shut while the tub did not drain all the way! The area is safe and nice, however quite far from South Lake Tahoe hub or restaurants so it was difficult to go back and forth often. Many times we had to pack up for the whole day to avoid making the trek back out to the Airbnb. I think for the price I expected a better value paying over $2k for four nights. I would recommend this spot , highlighting my concerns for the hosts to address.

I loved my stay but there was a lot of mice. Luckily I did bring my cat so he was on the hunt and found at least 3 of them. It wasn’t pleasant finding them after the fact either. Also, communication was weird, it felt like it was automotive responses because the first time we got there, we kept getting excessive welcomes even after the fact that we checked in, also when I reached out to them the first time they didn’t respond but instead a automatic response was sent to me saying that someone will get back to me but no one did. And then the second time I reached out was because of the mice and another number texted me but after I responded, no response. It didn’t feel like I was talking to people. But overall, the stay was lovely. I had a wonderful time, my family loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, peaceful cabin! The interior was cozy and comfortable, and the real treat was hanging out in the hot tub and taking in the beautiful views of the forest and mountains. It was a reasonably quick drive to town while still being removed enough to feel “away from it all”. We would stay there again.

Cozy, comfortable home, with all of the right amenities. Everything was clean upon check-in and we got settled in right away. The wooden beams and inner woodwork was beautiful. The place looks a lot bigger on the inside. Very dog-friendly location with spacious surrounding yard for your furry friends. Host was great to work with. Overall very satisfied with this location and would visit again!

We like this place so much. We have stayed there multiple times. This time there were obvious improvements but always a high-quality experience. It was clean, stocked as expected, basic supplies in the kitchen for example, adequate towels. It’s really great that they leave beach towels to use for the hot tub. Everything was clean and we felt right at home.

Overall it was a very positive stay. We had no significant issues with the home, and it was as described. The only thing that was a little challenging, was the heating unit. When we arrived at the home it was not set high enough, and it was a very cold night for everyone. It took almost a day to heat the house up, and only one room had a space heater. To keep the house comfortable, we had to buy quite a bit of firewood. We did enjoy the wood burning stove, but it was an extra expense.

The home was clean, cozy and well appointed. The beds are super comfortable with soft bedding and pillows. The kitchen has a lot of nice appliances—coffee maker, an instant kettle, blender. There are plenty of pots and pans and baking dishes. It’s so close to the Holiday Market grocery store that you can pick up anything you need. We had a great stay and would come back again for a chance to use the hot tub (towels are provided!)
