West Lake Serenity with 180-Degree Lake Views!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful visit! We were greeted by a BIG bear so that made us Very mindful of our surroundings. The home was fully stocked with towels and toiletries. Bring your own box of Kleenex though. The four chairs outside right at the lakeside were a haven for us all. We had great conversations in the peaceful surroundings. The couches inside were big and comfy! Loved the fireplace as well. The kitchen was stocked so we were able to make many meals in house. The views, unbeatable and the beds large and comfy! Loved that almost all the rooms had their own bathroom. The kitchen table chairs could use cushions but the table was large and perfect for playing games We would definitely rent this property again! Hopefully next year!

The location was beautiful. The house needs maintenance and deep cleaning. Some of the cookware is missing or overly used. Trash compactor and clothes dryer doesn’t work, light bulbs need replacing, inadequate amount of towels, spider webs through house. We noted there would be 10 guests, however check in instructions noted there was space for one car. I was told to check with parking lot across street, however no contact info provided. change property profile and not just state “free on site parking”. Misleading. The worst issue was there was a chipmunk trapped in the house. When we looked behind couch a trap had already been set. That means the house was rented, knowing the critter was in the house. We had toddlers with us and did not want them exposed to the feces left on counter and pantry. He got into our food, which had to be thrown out at great expense. This was an expensive property and I expected a quality product and not an infested fixer upper

The home has a rustic cabin feel (as pictured) and the views are breathtaking. The home is starting to show some wear and some repairs have not been well done. The kitchen/floors/counters/bathrooms were sufficiently clean, but the home could use a deep clean to get rid of cobwebs, carpet stains, dust under furniture and on light fixtures (as other reviews have mentioned) as it seems this hasn't been done in some time. Neighbors are closer than they appear in pics and we did had a nosy group just steps outside the living room window several times - one person even peered in and took a picture. Not their fault, but know this going in. During our stay, the dryer was not operable (a known issue that was not communicated to us) and this caused a significant issue as we had started washing two loads of laundry for a family of 6 before we figured this out. Grand Welcome was very apologetic and worked with us to sufficiently remedy the situation. The communication was great.

Unbeatable lakefront location and view! Aside from some spiders and bugs (typical for a nature setting), the house was clean. I had a little trouble getting straight answers about the sleeping arrangement for 10 people, and instructions were not always 100% consistent, but no major issues. We had a great experience and would definitely consider returning in the future.

We had a great time with the family. The home is nicely finished with wood throughout, and the view is amazing—pictures don’t capture it fully. The master bedroom has a lake view, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I slept really well. I also enjoyed some quiet time by the fireplace on the reclining sofa. Finally, I highly recommend renting a boat and checking out Rubicon Bay, it feels like a little piece of Sardinia.

Overall great place! Can’t beat the view! Having 10 people and 3 cars.. parking wasn’t ideal. Dishwasher didn’t work & very minimal utensils.
