Cute peaceful cabin. Rustic. A bit dated ?? VCR / VHS tapes / VHR rewinder ? But overall clean and cute. Cozy. Kitchen was very well organized and equipped

Good, but you’re getting what you’re paying for given it’s relatively cheap compared to other properties in that location. I arrived late night on a Thursday and I told the host about my arriving time. They did not care to leave any of the outdoor lights on to help us find the entrance. Then the locks didn’t work, so I had to call. They responded immediately but it was an unexpected inconvenience for that time, especially in a cold night like that. It snowed that day and the driveway wasn’t clean, so our boots got wet and when we got inside it was super slippery, my wife almost fell with out 2-year old on her lap. They should leave a mat or something on the front door. Then the water heater is incredibly noisy and it makes a super loud vibrating noise when you turn it on. I believe it needs maintenance. Also the TV are incredible old and some remotes are missing batteries. On the plus side, shower is amazing. Hot water and big volume.

However, we understand the concerns you raised about the outdoor lighting, locks, driveway, and other issues you encountered during your stay. Regarding the lighting, after 10pm, the county does not permit us to leave the lights on, but we’ll make sure to provide clearer instructions to help guests find the entrance more easily at night. We also appreciate your feedback on the driveway and will consider adding a mat to help prevent slipping. As for the water heater, due to its type, it can be a bit louder, but we will look into ensuring it's in optimal condition for future stays. We will also check the TV and remotes to ensure everything is functioning properly. We value your input and hope to improve the experience for our guests going forward.

What a great spot! The warnings about bears and trash/cleanliness are for real - we saw a bear right in the courtyard one morning! Bathtub is great, fireplace is cozy, loved it. Careful on the stairs though!

This is a terrific location to stay in Lake Tahoe - peaceful, quiet and close to the lake. It's just a long block to the lake, with two beaches to choose from, and there is a Safeway right around the corner for all your cooking needs. There is a wonderful marsh area nearby that was just beautiful to walk through and watch the geese. We loved that the forest is right out of the back door and had all of our meals and coffees there. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, the beds were comfy and the place was very clean. The clawfoot bath was a nice place for a soak. The kids loved having their loft space up there to watch movies. Here are the only "issues" we had. Our code did not work at check-in (we called, they gave us one that worked - so not a problem); there was no welcome guide when we arrived, so we spent a long time trying to figure out how to turn on the gas fireplace to heat the home (it was very cold that first night.) The trick was to turn the gas on at the fireplace, then use the wall heater by the stairs. The tankless water heater gets loud when you use the hot water. The furniture arrangement is awkward in the living room/dining room area. We solved that by moving the table from between the tv and sofa, pulling the sofa forward, and putting the table off to the side (don't worry, it all went back when we left.) Other than that, it really was a great place to stay. Thank you to our hosts! (ps - hammock in pic was ours)
