This place was EPIC! However, what makes it EPIC is its location, which is in the middle of the desert. I highly recommend that you arrive when there is still light outside, and make sure you have an SUV. The road is described as primitive and it is. But that was one of the best parts of the location and the journey to get there! Everything in the home is top-of-the-line. The house still smells brand new, and it was pristinely clean. I think they had more gadgets in the kitchen than we do at our home! The highlights for me were many. But if I had to narrow it down to a few, it would be the back deck (especially at night), the local cows, and the master bathroom, which has a tub with an amazing view, a giant shower, and a TOWEL WARMER?!!! So cool! Oh, and the bed was super comfy. Perfect location with Sedona on one side and Jerome on the other. LOTS to do : ) RENT THIS PLACE! We hope to be back for my 2nd Master's Graduation at GCU!

Hi Nicole! Wow—thank you so much for such an incredible and detailed review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and that the location, home features, and desert experience made such a strong impression. It sounds like you truly embraced everything that makes this property special—from the back deck and views to the kitchen gadgets and that towel warmer in the master bath! We also really appreciate the thoughtful feedback. We’ll take a closer look at the smart lock instructions and make sure the check-out info is fully consistent between the binder and app messages. And thank you for the note about wash cloths—we’ll make sure that’s addressed for future guests. Congrats in advance on your second Master’s at GCU—we’d be honored to host you again for the celebration! Until then, thank you again for the kind words and for being such a wonderful guest.

The house was beautiful. The location, although remote was breathtaking. I especially loved waking up to the sun rises everyday, coffee on the deck and star gazing at night.

Hello Tina! Thank you so much for your thoughtful and honest review. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the home, especially the stunning location, peaceful mornings with coffee on the deck, and stargazing at night—those are some of the things we love most about the property too. We also truly appreciate your candid feedback about the amenities. As a fellow host, your perspective is especially valuable. We’re sorry to hear that some of the items fell short of expectations, and we’re already reviewing upgrades to linens, toiletries, and kitchenware to better align with the overall guest experience we aim to offer. We’re also looking into the mattress in the master bedroom to make sure it’s comfortable for future guests. Thank you again for the high marks and for trusting we’ll make these improvements. We’d love to welcome you back for an even better stay next time!

This place was really special. It is about 30+ minutes outside of Sedona town center but that was absolutely ideal for our trip. 10 miles on gravel roads to get to the house is well worth the drive for the seclusion and unmatched views. The house itself was spacious, new and had every feature/vibe you would want in a home stay in the middle of the desert. Highly recommend for those who prefer to be away from tourist traps.

Hello Laura! Thank you so much for the wonderful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear the home and its seclusion were a perfect fit for your trip, and that you enjoyed the space, views, and overall desert experience. We really appreciate you pointing out the minor maintenance items and your suggestion to better emphasize the remote location—we’ll definitely take that into account to help future guests feel fully prepared. It means a lot that you loved your stay, and we’d be honored to host you again anytime!

The house is very pretty and all the appliances are modern. The view out the back is simply breathtaking. One of the most beautiful tings I have seen. The drive from Cottonwood is quite a nice dirt road that any car could drive over. There are other more challenging offroad options to get there. The night sky is dark and clear, excellent for astronomy.

The home and setting are stunning. It has a great view of the Sedona mountains. We hiked Bear Mountain and the view of that hike’s profile is perfect. The kitchen is nice and worked well for us.A high clearance vehicle is recommended but not 100% necessary.
