We loved the cabin itself. I will mention that it takes about 12 minutes of driving to get from gate to the cabin and the roads are steep & narrow. They probably should consider hiring a different cleaning company. However after I voiced my concerns, they did try to accommodate us. We loved having our 12-15 deer come visit us everyday and the 5 of us had plenty of room to spread out! Most important… the beds were comfy and we had plenty of hot water. The town of Ellijay is wonderful and we will definitely visit there again!

The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Be sure to bring dried corn or apples. The deer like to make the rounds. So many deer. The drive in is windy, watch for deer. Also, the gravel road and driveway are manageable. We drove in our rented Toyota Camry no problem. We did have an issue with the hot tub, but it was a holiday weekend and we finally figured it out by resetting the breakers. But the communication was always quick, maybe ai, but quick. Honestly, it is a very nice place. The downstairs is like a little apartment and was great for my adult daughter, husband and grandbaby. However, be sure to write down your reservation # my Internet didn't work at the front gate and they asked for it EVERY time we drove through. I would stay here again.

Terrific cabin! Plenty of room for all of us. Location great. Hot tub wonderful. Stocked very well. We passed along some suggestions directly to owner that if completed it would be a 5 star :)

We had a great time. Our family was able to relax and enjoy the mountains surroundings. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after the long trip. Seeing deer 30 feet from our deck was amazing. We would gladly return.

This was a nice semi secluded cabin. The deer are friendly. The hosts Terrance and Teresa checked in with us to ensure we had what we needed. The drive up to the cabin was beautiful and a little scary with the curves and slim roadways. We were staying there for the sheriffs jeepfest annual event. The guard at the gate was nice and even joked with us. I would recommend and will stay at the Heritage Hideaway cabin again. We enjoyed that we didn’t have to share a bathroom with anyone as well. The small towns of Jasper, Tate, Talking Rock and Ellijay were nice to check out what they all offered. The only thing I would recommend is getting corn for the deer.

Tressa and Terrence have a beautiful place that let's you see the sunrise and sunsets with great colors. this was the most stocked place of items my family and I have stayed in. the gaming family room down in the basement was a huge plus. we bought a couple bags of corn so the deer can get fed and some deer ate right out of our hand. we went hiking at blackberry creek (great swimming hole for kiddos) and fort mountain state park was really close by. if you go eat, go to Ellijay wood fired pizza resturant. best pizza I've had in a while. The brand new hot tub was the cherry on top. whole family loved it. This cabin would get 10 stars if i could give them.

Hi David, Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re so glad you and your family enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the fully stocked amenities, and the fun in the gaming family room. How amazing that you were able to feed the deer right from your hand, what a special experience! It’s wonderful to hear you also explored the nearby trails, swimming spots, and enjoyed some of the local dining. We’re happy the brand-new hot tub was the perfect cherry on top for your stay. We appreciate your taking time to provide this review, and the feedback helps other guests when making decisions for their upcoming stays. We would love to host you again for the Autumn 🍂 Festivals and the beautiful changing of the leaves in Ellijay.

Incredibly clean--I want their house cleaner! Very well furnished--there were 5 of us and the living room area had 5 recliners! Our two dogs were pleased--when they walked in, there was a doggie bed for each--a medium and a smaller bed. Two of us can't use stairs, but there is a ramp up to the main level. We all enjoyed the frequent visits by deer. Once there were 4 stags and 4 does! (We recommend buying a bag of dried corn to put in the feeders). Excursions included lunch in Ellijay (good Mexican) and sailing our small sailboat on Carters Lake.
