Little Cub Retreat - Private Hot Tub

Beautiful view and convenient to Ober and downtown. Each bathroom has a huge spa tub which is nice and the loft was a comfortable place for all of the children. I didn’t realize I had to go outside to access the pool, but we bundled up and made the short walk and it was fine. The pool was very warm and inviting. We would stay here again.

The place was amazing. The only complaint is the bottom floor was really cold and that’s where the main bedrooms are but they did have small heaters to use for our convenience. The host responded really quickly and everything about our stay was amazing.

Everything was very good, the cabin looks the same as in the pictures and is very big, the only problem was that when we arrived they made us wait half an hour to enter because they had not finished the cleaning but outside of that everything was super good, I hope to return next year.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It felt more like hotel level hospitality instead of the homie, welcoming airbnb vibe that we are used to. Might consider bringing some pool towels! Not the cleanest so I’d recommend looking around before settling in… there was a vape pen left on the end stand when we first arrived that any child could have easily gotten. Beautiful view though!

It was a great cabin! Nice views, great hot tub, games for kids, saw a few bears and nice pool. Pool water could have been a little bit more clean but able to swim. Overall great place to stay!

One of the best aspects of the property was the view, along with the proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean and everything worked as required. The kitchen was stocked with clean and usable dishes which helped.

This place is really nice. We enjoyed the pool and game room upstairs. It was nice having a jacuzzi tub in every bedroom. We saw bears every night we was up there. Very good location, close to everything in Gatlinburg. Definitely recommend staying here, we had a blast and will be back again

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my sons and I birthday. The cabin was in a great location and the view is breathtaking. The drive up is a bit scary at night if you miss the bypass or coming up from downtown but it’s not bad during the day. I wish I would have known the pool entrance is outside. There is no access from the house to the pool. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and communication with the property was great. We did see bears twice, once at night driving back to the cabin and the next day driving down to Anakeesta.

Everything was wonderful! My family and I really enjoyed it. The heater was out in the pool so that was very cold and we weren’t able to use but we were offered a discount and the kids still enjoyed the hot tub!

We had a great time because as a family we made it work, but from the time we arrived I texted about the pool being dirty and there was mold/mildew on the walls, and around vents, which is a very very major health problem. I kept being told someone will reach out to me, but let’s just say no one ever showed up and they only communicated with me when I reached out to them. It was always we’re so sorry, we’re reaching out to them now blah blah blah. I would put the pictures up but since I’m dealing with this the legal way I will not do that. Just be aware, and check everything out before you get settled in.

I had zero issues the cabin was as described the kiddos loved the pool and gotta tub .. the view n seeing the black bears were a great surprise not far at all from either town pigeon forge or gaitlinburg about 15 minutes each way.. I will be renting this cabin again forsure

We had a lovely vacation here and would not hesitate to stay again! The views from the decks are impeccable of the Smoky Mountains and both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The amenities in the cabin entertained the kids for days. Its location was convenient to all of the things we wanted to do in the area, too. Take the name of the cabin literally, though. One evening, we saw two bears by the cabin! Just make sure to lock your car doors because they will try to open them. The cabin is starting to show its age though. There were cobwebs and dust throughout. The indoor pool had visible mold on the drywall— which is to be expected for a moist and not extremely well ventilated space. During our stay, the single HVAC unit struggled to cool all floors, but it was also the hottest week of the year so far. It needs a little TLC, but not enough to dissuade me from rebooking. On the flip side, the age of the cabin made it beautiful with the flooring and walls on the main levels. One thing to be aware of before booking if you aren’t familiar with driving true mountain roads— there are very steep hills and switchbacks on the way up or down with no streetlights and narrow roads. We had no issues driving it since I used to live in the mountains, but other family members did. However, the drive makes for the BEST view and it’s worth it. Just drive up slow and carefully, then shift into lower gears and not ride your brakes down. All this to say, we loved our stay and would come back!

We had a few issues during our stay but they were resolved for the most part. The beds were super comfortable and the views can't be beat. We enjoyed the hot tub nightly after being tourists during the day. We used the pool a couple times but it was a little difficult getting in and out without a railing. We saw quite a few bears during our stay. It rained while we were there and it was a beautiful sound and sight in the mountains.

There were things in the cabin that were repaired but not completed. Furniture really needs to be something better. Seems old and uncomfortable. Some light switches for example were one on the opposite side of the room to control the light and another switch on the opposite side of the room to control the ceiling fan of the same fixture. Hot tub leaks down to the bottom porch right by the doorway making it slick to walk on. Really weren’t enough towels etc for 4 people for 6 days. A lot of doors inside need work so they will close easier. No kind of instructions to work the fireplace or the hot tub. The pool was nice other than it really needs a handrail to hold on to to enter and get out of the pool. Very difficult getting in and out of. Because of that we didn’t really use the pool much. Overall this cabin didn’t really meet our expectations for the cost we paid.
