Albatross House with Ocean View, Hot Tub

We wanted to hang out, relax and recharged and this place was great for it. Even with the bad weather of some rain we had a great time. Only bad thing was that we should have stayed longer. Thank you so much!

We have enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful. Yes, please come to Sea Ranch, it's a haven on earth, but partly because not too many people know about it =). So it's a well-kept secret. If you need a serene, quiet place for yourself or for a family gathering, this is perfect. The house is big, the living room has plenty of seating, the kitchen is fully stocked, the outdoor grill is running. There is a trail right behind the house, so just go and hike or run, no need to drive anywhere. Beautifully maintained pool/sauna/pickleball and tennis courts are within walking distance: ~10 mins walking or ~3 mins driving. If you forgot something, 2 grocery stores in Gualala have most of everything you need. Given we travel with a baby, the only thing I wish they had at least some form of predictable flexibility around check-in and check-out times (kind of a common thing among management companies). Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Thanks, we'll definitely come back.

Wow this is such a wonderful place to stay. It truly felt like staying at a family vacation home. I’ve stayed in Sea Ranch before but truly nothing beats where this house is positioned. You are nestled into the meadow and right next to a walking trail to the water. The house is also right across from the Binker barns which feels very special and offers a beautiful sunset view point. The house has everything you need and I made full use of the kitchen easily. The stars and wildlife that you see from the deck were also spectacular. This house felt very safe and private too, I will definitely be back!

Instructions were pretty clear and check in was easy. House was clean, but interior is pretty old and in part worn down. Dishes, pots, pans, etc are old, too, were in part rusty and in part not clean. Paper, detergent, etc were provided. No food stockings (salt, pepper, oil, etc) were available, though. Hot tub did not really produce bubbles. Location is generally good, but house only has a very limited view of the ocean. Recreation centers are ok, but also pretty old. Hosts did answer promptly to question re equipment for using the pickleball court, but couldn’t help in any way.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Sea ranch. The house address was hard to find because the numbers were partly hidden by vegetation. Fortunately it was still light out when we arrived. The house was very clean and the kitchen fully equipped. We both felt it was time to upgrade the house a bit. The bed was great/slept good. Check out was confusing and took extra time and driving to work it out.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. We had a fire, used the hot tub, went on seaside walks. We wished the kitchen was a little more set up with basic supplies like foil, oil, a few spices etc. everything was very clean and accurately described. Thank you!

Cozy, great fire. Really walkable spot- only a few minutes to pool/sauna/tennis courts. Kitchen could have been better stocked since you’ll want to cook. Mattress in master bedroom was uncomfortable. Overall, a wonderful stay & would recommend.

Cozy little house. Everything was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was a little under-stocked so be sure to bring your own spices, olive oil, etc if you plan to cook while you’re there. We would stay here again!

This comfortable meadow home at the Sea Ranch was just the place we needed to unwind and enjoy the ocean. The nearby trail to the bluff gives you a short walk to the lovely cove and marine preserve a little south. When we weren't sitting on the back deck reading, looking at the blue water view and taking deep breaths of fresh sea air, we made the short drive into Gualala to shop at the two well-stocked markets, enjoy treats from the local bakeries, and buy more books. Favorite places: Four-Eyed Frog bookstore, the Sea Trader with a delightful collection of gifts and books, the Dolphin, Noma and Discovery art galleries, Trinks cafe and the Bakery Pizza Mexican Food restaurant next to Gualala Supermarket. Yummy breakfasts! Albatross House has comfortable beds and furniture and plenty of cooking and dining utensils. Be sure to bring or purchase the cooking oil and spices you need. The front steps into the house have a high rise, so they are steep for people with mobility challenges.

We had a great time in Sea Ranch at this rental. The amenities were great and there’s access to a trail right next to the house. A word of caution to anyone is to keep your windows closed at night. The local raccoons have zero fear of people and will get in the house (ask me how I know). Otherwise it’s a great spot

What a beautiful place to enjoy Sea Ranch! Connected to the coast trail system and not too far from Gualala for easy town bites and coffee. Lovely place to relax and enjoy the serenity. The house feels private but not too secluded, would love to return again.

The albatros house has a great location near the trail and rec center. It is a big house with 3 BD and 3BA, and the kitchen was all stocked fir us to cook meals. Hotub is enclosed and has no views but there are nice views from the house. Good sound system and speakers if you just want to chill in Sea Ranch.

Albatross House was the perfect size for our extended family group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Location was amazing - the Bluff Trail that leads to spectacular ocean views is literally right behind the house and it was a real treat to be able to go running along this trail every morning. The Sea Ranch library is also nearby, in the Ohlson Ranch House, and we visited regularly. While the house is a little old, it is very clean. The carpet is new and the hot tub and range are newer than shown in the pictures. The hot tub worked well and we used it daily. The kitchen is nicely equipped, but one thing to know is that no consumables are provided, not even coffee or cooking oil. However, it's easy to buy supplies at the supermarkets in Gualala 10 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

The house is great. It's close to trails that get you to the bluff, a short walk to the pool, has lots of sunny windows with views and we loved the hot tub and deck. The one thing to keep in mind: bring your own pantry basics. There was salt and pepper but no oil, no sugar etc. Also no alum foil or plastic wrap.

Great location near the trail. House is sited well. Best for quiet groups. Interior and front door are have a cozy 90s vibe in contrast to theexterior, but the house is well designed. Feels more authentic Sea Ranch than the mansions to the north.

Everything was wonderful! Saw deer and foxs in yard is always a bonus at Sea Ranch. The hot tub was hot but we needed to add water and some jets don’t work. I also had little difficulty getting verified which was over looked by me. The host were excellent and walked me tru the process at last minute.

This was a return visit for us. Everything was just it was the first time. Overall very good. Great house layout for multiple guests and families. Appreciate the large kitchen with well stocked cooking utensils and dining area. Great location on trail and near ocean and recreation center.

This is an excellent place in a great location close to the ocean, trails and recreation center (walking distance). The place has a great layout and is as depicted on the website. Kitchen has all appliances and tools needed for preparing home cooked meals. Hot tub on/off button was jammed but can be easily operated via circuit breaker per owner guidance. Remember to bring matches and lighter and fire starter for the pot belly fireplace. Kindling and wood was provided. There is a store nearby in Gualala anyway if you need anything. Windows and doors had screens installed. Overall very good.

The listing matches the property. There was only 3 of us. We loved the coziness and it is exactly what we wanted. Quiet and secluded. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the house, and plenty of drivable beaches close by. The mirrors in the master bedroom were awesome. Netflix and other streaming services wete great too. We had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is the hall door to master bedroom needs adjusting. The living room layout. It was perfect for 3 of us but with more it might be difficult to all watch a movie together. It was still perfectly perfect for us.
