Ocean Views - Near Bluff Coast Trail - Hot Tub!

We really enjoyed our stay in Sea Ranch. The location and design of the home are wonderful. There were just a few minor things that knocked this down from 5 stars: * the host communicated that 3 cars could park at the property, but when reading the home manual once we arrived it stated that only 2 can park (we were later informed that we could park cars in the garage). This was confusing! * one of the dining room chairs had a detached/broken back, which could be dangerous * the upstairs fireplace was not functional * the kitchen lacked some basic items, but luckily we brought and purchased items from the nearby grocery store

Great location, with beautiful ocean views. Walking trails right outside the house. Close to one of the community centers for the pool and tennis. Hot tub was very clean and a great way to end the day, looking upon at the stars.

Our stay was nothing short of incredible. The house was perfect for the Sea Ranch vibe we were looking for and the location was just amazing! Beautiful views from every window and so easy to hop on the walking trail out back. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to come back in the future! The house was stocked with a few necessities which was great, and we loved having the ability to use the fireplace at night when hanging out in the living room. Was sad to leave!

I have to say this home exceeded our expectations. It is even nicer in person than on the pictures and there was everything there that we could need and more. The house was impeccably clean, stylish and the host/property management team was super responsive, professional and kind. Much appreciated. If you want to go to restaurants, coffee shops, post office, grocery stores from the house, it's less than 3 miles to Gualala or in the other direction to the Lodge. From the house you right there to walk the bluff trails. The jacuzzi is nice to have on a fresh evening, as well as a beautiful fireplace in the living room that brings warmth and a nice atmosphere. You have everything you need to cook in the kitchen if you wish to cook. We spent 4 days at this home and we didn't want to leave. I think we'll be back sooner than later. Thank you for hosting us so well in this beautiful home!

My only complaint was that I couldn’t stay longer! The home is even more beautiful than the pictures depict. The host does an excellent job of providing you with all the essentials for your stay. We particularly enjoyed the record player in the living room, which came with an extensive vinyl collection to choose from. When you wake up in the morning and see the ocean view from the upstairs bedroom, it’s hard to get out of bed. It’s truly captivating. The cherry on top is the jacuzzi, which you can enjoy anytime of the day. I would highly recommend this booking and plan on coming back soon. This area in Sea Ranch is beautiful if you’re looking for a coastal retreat with stunning views. Don’t forget to take advantage of the hiking trails right in the backyard!

We love coming to the Sea Ranch and picked this house because of the view from the upstairs bedroom which we truly loved. You are right on the pathway and can easily enjoy the views of the ocean and go for walks. The fireplace remote was not working but they quickly had someone come out and fix it and we enjoyed using it during our time there. We appreciated the espresso machine too! Be mindful when walking back to the house from the path as there are no visible areas of division except some small flags in a cluster that are apparently there to show where the house boundaries are. I have never had an issue before, but the neighbor is vocal about their property lines.

Incredible place. Our first visit to Sea Ranch. Stunning location right on the bluff. Amazing views from the main room and bedroom. Great layout - super comfortable. Very nice kitchen. Great side room/bunk room for kids (we didn’t bring kids this trip but will probably the next time we visit). Great fireplace. Record player with great sound and selection. Beautiful location and right on the water. Outstanding home for walking for miles and incredible view of the ocean. House is large and well-stocked, and Grand Welcome does a lovely job making you feel at home. Aspects of the home are somewhat dated and older, however overall a really good place to stay in Sea Ranch, particularly if looking to stay with children.

A few things that made it difficult to enjoy: - The upstairs bedroom was so hot it was unusable during the day, even with the doors and windows open (I live in Singapore so am used to heat). The heater/fan did not help enough - We regularly found bugs in the carpet and in the house. A bug here and there is fine, but the carpet situation kind of grossed us out - I suspect this is due to there being no screens on almost all of the windows(!) - They didn't clean the outside furniture - cobwebs everywhere - and it would have been nice if there was some shade on the porches I've stayed in two other Sea Ranch rentals this year and didn't face any of these issues, granted it was in January and not end of summer. Still an amazing location and a reasonable price if you go when it's cooler outside.

I had high hopes for this house and it exceeded ALL expectations!! Absolutely gorgeous! The views were incredible and the location was amazing right on the bluff trail and seeing seals just feet away! My favorite spot was the corner window seat! Lots of fun games and books! Loved every second! So sad to leave and can’t wait to come back! House was clean and communication was always fast and responsive. Did feel a little rushed out, but other than that, no complaints!!

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed this house. Highly functional kitchen amenities for lots of cooking and big meals. The common space was really great, and the views spectacular. We've rented Sea Ranch homes more than a dozen times, often staying in a property multiple times. We'd return to this one, especially with a couple of small improvements. It was frustrating to have both a late checkin and a very early check out time compared to most other rentals, and made our trip feel tight. We were dissappointed that nobody had checked or turned on the hot tub so it was cold the first of our two nights. I'd be thrilled if some of the soft-cover furniture, bean bags and things, were replaced or cleaned, that was one semi-gross issue. But the overall space was clean and lovely, record collection was great. Location is really perfect, and host/management was quick to respond with the few questions we had.

Beautiful views from a wonderful Sea Ranch home! We liked everything about this home—communication with the host was prompt, helpful, and kind. Check-in was easy and flexible. The home itself was very clean with lots of towels and comfortable beds. The views from the large clean windows was amazing - from the ocean to the stars! It was along the walking path and it was still very quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds and other nature (like deer and bunnies) to observe. The Sea Ranch Lodge is nearby and the restaurant there was very good. Highly recommend and we hope to return soon.

This home was beautiful! sweeping ocean views, nice furniture, and a peaceful deck. you are very close to the coastal bluff trail so people walking by can definitely see you, but that doesn’t bother us so much. the house wraps around the deck and acts as a wind break which was so lovely. the kitchen was a bit light on tools but otherwise the house had everything we needed. I would say our only complaint is the check in/out times - 4pm check in is the latest i’ve ever seen, and a 10am check out is also the earliest i’ve ever seen. we felt like we lost a few hours due to that, but regardless had a beautiful time!

Beautiful views. The master bedroom is a stunner. The two other rooms (plus game room) are great for kids or a family with kids. Property is kid-friendly and they had a lot of items in the closets like high chairs and other things to make your stay comfortable. The Sea Ranch Lodge is a 10 minute drive away and the city of Gualala is ~5 minutes away. Easy to grab groceries or eat at a restaurant if needed.

Beautiful location right on the bluff with spectacular views. Spacious home, very comfortable. Gas fireplace a very nice feature. Lots of lounging options. Kitchen was a little tight and awkward and missing some key elements (had plastic water glasses rather than glassware and couldn't find a vegetable peeler). Only one garage door seems to open. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

We would stay here again in a heart beat. Imagine watching the sun set over the water while sitting in front of a huge rock fireplace. It was perfect. Bluff House was beyond our expectations -- and considering we knew it was an awesome 70s Sea Ranch home right on the Pacific is saying a lot. The Bluff trail was right outside our door and offered a fantastic hike along the coast, but we spent just as much time indoors, nestled up in front of the fireplace, or reading on the banquet by the front window with a view of the waves crashing below. Every night - after gazing up at the bright stars -- we went to sleep listening to the rhythm of the waves. And few kitchens can boast such a stunning view out a sink window. Besides location, the house was perfectly furnished. Lots of thick towels, and beds that are so comfortable, we now plan to buy the same brand for ourselves. We will be back and next time we will stay longer.

This home is perfectly located to make the most of Sea Ranch : - Wonderful views from the main living space and master bedroom, incredible coastal walks with easy access to the beaches and a short walk to the recreation center. The home is spacious and well appointed with plenty of kitchen equipment, board games and indoor and outdoor dining options, comfy sofas and a great fire place. As there is not much to do in the evenings, all of these factors allowed us to cook great meals and just enjoy the home reading by the fire and playing games.

This is a beautiful property in a superb location. Perfect for a family--Mom and Dad have an upstairs bedroom with a dramatic view down the rocky Sonoma coast. Kids rooms are on the ground floor and include a common area with a tv. The living/dining area is a beautiful open space with a fireplace and windows and plenty of cozy spots for playing games or looking out at the ocean.

Beautiful views from everywhere! It rained quite a bit so it was lovely to have a cozy house where we could see the ocean. The kitchen was quite well appointed, but for some reason was very short on glasses. One single wine glass for a house that sleeps 6? Maybe the tenants before us had a spree of glass breaking! Anyway, it was a lovely stay even if we had to drink from plastic glasses some times.

My husband and I had an opportunity to get away for a few days while our special needs son (age 39) was at camp! We were really needing a place to relax and recharge and this was the perfect place! The Bluff Trail was awesome for daily hikes, the sunsets were incredible along with the sunrise, and the wildlife was amazing…especially the Eagle that landed on top of a tree super close to the patio! The house itself was awesome and very clean! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the stargazing! Wow!

Insanely gorgeous space + communication was great. Just be aware that Sea Ranch has very strict rules (parking, noise, etc). For example, we received a noise complaint for just talking outside (no music) because it was after 9 pm. Also, there doesn't seem to be any flexibility with check-in/check-out from my and other reviewers' experience. That said, it is a breathtakingly beautiful house/location and a great place for a lowkey, relaxing stay!

The house has spectacular views with a wonderful bluff location. The house is lovely. We had a great time. However disappointed with some aspects of the house. It advertises 3 bedrooms, however the 3rd bedroom while advertised as a bunk bed with full mattress, the mattress is a thin mattress on a metal frame. Not comfortable for a week long vacation for an adult sleeping there. Also found the house not supplied as I am used to for VRBOs. There were some maintenance issues which the management responded quickly to. Appreciated the easy communication and response. I have stayed in many Sea Ranch homes and found this one nice but recommend third bedroom for children and not adults.

The house was exactly as pictured, if not better. The views from the kitchen, living room, and upstairs bedroom were spectacular. The house was spotlessly clean. Beds and pillows were comfy. Zero complaints...other than I wish I lived there!

We had a lovely time! The house is beautifully decorated, and the ocean views are stunning. We had everything we needed, including a baby high chair, which saved us when we realized we forgot ours. We enjoyed walking on the bluff trail right outside our door and cozying up by the fireplace. The management team's communication was on point -- they delivered us more batteries during the Super Bowl when we needed them to turn on the fireplace. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to be back soon.
