The place was very comfortable however there’s no heaters in the main bedrooms and it would be really great if you would put some type of baseboard heater in there because it was just too cold. There was a space heater that we plugged in, but it was so noisy. We couldn’t sleep other than that. Everything was great Probably would not stay at this location again because of the heat situation

Very good value. The house is in a very good location with an excellent ocean view. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Only two drawbacks for me: 1. The finishes (baseboards, trim around shower, and fireplace framing) are a bit sloppy. This doesn’t detract from the overall comfort of the house but if you’re looking for a beautifully finished house this probably isn’t the one for you. 2. No dishwasher (which is clear in their listing).

Never been to the area of the coast but This place is lovelyyy. Loved everything about it. Peaceful. Quiet. Very close to restaurants but perfectly out of the way so you feel like you have your own privacy. Will definitely be returning. Loved how this place gives you your privacy and not feel like you’re being watched while you’re on your getaway. Thank you very much to the host. Responds very quick and gives all the info needed without having to ask. Well worth the drive

We had a delightful time at Lucky Ewe; the house is a bit old but and the view from the wide windows was spectacular. We like the location better than Sea Ranch; it seemed closed to places of interest. There were only two of us so having only one bathroom was not a problem. The kitchen had all one needed and more; the living room/dining room had comfortable seating everywhere with beautiful view of the beach. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nancy & Farhad

We chose Lucky Ewe for its location. PROS: Close to the coffee shop, shopping and restaurants. The location and view were what we were looking for. An overall clean and functional location. CONS: We had hoped to spend excessive time on the deck viewing the coast, but the seating was not comfortable for extensive lounging time. And not suitable for larger sized people. After a long conversation of where my (large) husband might safely sit, my husband broke a leg on the plastic anarondack chair. The home has been remodeled and reconfigured making electrical light switches a bit of a challenge to find in the dark. The third bedroom does not have complete privacy as an open window to the kitchen Is there for what I think might be circulation. The fireplace looked as though an insert had been removed, but the electrical sockets and some wood was left as part of its old construction. I would not recommend for family with toddlers. But the dwelling worked for us for a few (affordable) days

Everything with Grand Welcome Sea Ranch was good. Good notes, clear communication. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, bath towel supply, closet with extra blankets. The view was great, the deck table and chairs were used a lot with meals and in between to enjoy the view. The location is walking distance to town for groceries, restaurants, shopping. There is a short trail nearby for a walk and a walkable neighborhood. Note: There is a strong musty smell in the house.

If you’re familiar with Gualala and the Mendocino coast, it’s all about the fresh air and Pacific Ocean. Small local community serving you great food and everything else folks like us are looking for while getting away from the hustle and bustle. The property is what we expect in this area, not new, but clean, had everything you need and some of the best windows and ocean views in town. We spent most of time whale watching and enjoying the noise of the waves crashing over and over again. We love cooks beach about a mile north for beach access, with plenty more to choose from in the area.

Wonderful house overlooking Gualala beach and river delta, with great big windows to see the view. Comfortable home with 3 bedrooms with queen sized beds. The kitchen had a lot of amenities and is fully equipped for making meals. The place is walking distance to Gualala Supermarket, other stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at the Lucky Ewe!

The location of this home was perfect for us - walkable to town with restaurants, grocery stores, and lovely shops. And even though right in town, the ocean view was stupendous! Well appointed and super clean home. A great choice!

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the location couldn’t be better! The house is within walking distance from downtown Gualala. The things that need improvement (in our opinion) would be the furniture (outdoor pieces/mismatched) and the mildew (mold) odor. The odor was a bit overwhelming for us considering allergies. A wood stove or fireplace would be a plus with the location and condition of the house.

Overall great location. Easy access to local restaurants and markets. Great views of the ocean and the wildlife that live there. Site does not have a washer and dryer and there are no laundromats in town.

Gualala is beautiful and we were very happy to stay near the water! This airbnb is just a short walk from all of the restaurants in town including Trinks which has the best scones, and a short drive to Gualala Regional Park which is breathtaking. FYI, this was not an issue for us, but one of the 3 bedrooms is not exactly private as there is a window cut out looking into kitchen.

It was surprisingly quiet since it was so close to Highway 1 going through town. Older but very Comfortable home. Heads up: the can opener does not work. An umbrella with the table outside would have been nice to block direct Sun. The furniture was very comfortable.

Great view of the ocean. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood - even though Highway 1 was so close, you don't hear it at all. Local market and a few restaurant options within a block or two. Wifi was a bit choppy but nbd.

A few of us got together for a 20 year reunion and were very happy with our stay. The bedrooms were well maintained and comfortable. Even though there was only one bathroom, it was well stocked and easy to use between all of us. The living room space and nook that looked out over the ocean were wonderful and provided a great hang out space for board games and catching up. There's a grill that we didn't use, but a 6 person table out on the deck overlooking the town and ocean, which was absolutely lovely. The home was well positioned and easy walking to local restaurants, coffee, and the local market. On Saturday's the market has fresh bbq in the parking lot that we will definitely be returning for. I docked one star because the living area and kitchen were quite dirty. We ended up handwashing all of the dish ware before and after using since we saw some food visibly caked on the plates and bowls. There was a lot of old / left over foods in the fridge, and various scraps on the floor.

Awesome spot with a great "home base" feel for a stay on the coast over a long holiday weeekend. We had home cooked family dinner on the deck and watched whales breech on the ocean for a couple hours, that experience alone made the place worth it. You can walk to town for groceries or coffee easily. Several beaches available within a ten minute drive. Our family made some great memories here in a few short days.

Loved the house, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The view from the living room was true beauty, the first night the heavens were beautifully aligned, in one picture you had sand, surf, moon and Venus. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for folks wanting to be able to walk to cafes and restaurants. Sitting on the deck with the view of the Pacific Ocean was relaxing. If you stay here I recommend bringing in the seat covers at night so they will not be soaked by the marine layer overnight. We had a lovely time at The Lucky Ewe.

Whoever is NOT doing the outside maintenance needs to be fired! All of the plants are in severe need of WATER, pruning, and area cleanup! I personally watered the 5 rhododendrons with a pot from the kitchen. The two cherry trees are very close to Death, due to lack of water and care!! Black berry bush vines are choking a lot of the vegetation. If I were the owner of this property I would be pissed! The first impression when arriving is not a good one!

The location is amazing, the view, the ability to walk to grocery and dining options. The kitchen is well stocked to be able to cook meals. The bedrooms are a little tight for space but the beds were pretty comfortable. The shower head needs definite replacing, it sprays water everywhere. And I would honestly consider an update on the furnishings. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The property has a great location but is in desperate need of decluttering and updates. The most worrisome of the needed updates was all rusty fixtures in the bathroom. Other furniture inside and outside was quiet uncomfortable as well with stains. The bed was clean and comfortable but the rooms were overall really stuffy.All the appliances existed but I was surprised to see no coffee pod or coffee at all Also Google maps doesn't take you to the house directly but across Highway 1 on Ocean Dr. I really hope they can improve this wonderful property.

Excellent location but when I entered the property, there was a strong musty smell throughout the house. The smell pretty much disappeared while I was there. But when I got home, clothes smelled like mold.

Stayed here with my wife and dog. Can comfortably fit a family of four no problem though. Its a nice, comfortable, and cozy house. The value of this listing is the location and view however. We bbqd on the back patio, with a view of the ocean. Tough to beat that. Will be staying again.
