The Sixpence - Beach Access - Hot Tub

Spacious, clean, comfortable house in a gorgeous location - exactly as described & pictured. The management co was also very responsive and easy to deal with.

A lovely Sea Ranch home, very clean, comfortable, quiet, up-to-date; the place looks like it does in the photos. Mgmt was responsive as well. The ground floor has wood floors, the furniture is non-porous, plush, and comfortable. It has the cozy feel of a family's vacation home (books, games, DVDs). It's about an 8-minute walk to the ocean (and the N/S coastal trail that runs the entire length of Sea Ranch) via dedicated walking paths (bring a flashlight for the walk back after sunset). It does have a nice ocean view through two large picture windows (though the main western-facing window has some haze that detracts, perhaps a faulty window seal?). As the rest of the ground floor windows look out over the property, there is a sense of space and light. We saw turkeys, deer, bats, and birds daily. The kitchen was great, well-equipped (knives could be sharpened), with a great stovetop, a small microwave, and the best toaster ever. Hot tub needs clearer temp instructions. Fast internet.

we chose Sixpence for a week stay mostly for the expansive seaview advertised. Howevwr seals on multiple double paned windows have failed, so windows appear foggy. The main bayview window looks hazy and smeared , other windows are hazy or dotted with spots. This moisture damage is inbetween the panes so can’t be cleaned from the outside. They need professional cleaning or replacement. Management was aware of this issue and said it couldn’t be fixed during our stay. But fogging occurs over months or years. We were of course disappointed . Otherwise the house was as advertised. Nice hot tub and large kitchen. sev days before check in you will receive ‘pack your bags! ’ messages with how to get in’ instructions - to use the link to code next to checkmark. But no code is visible. It’d be nice to just say ‘you will receive the code the day before check ‘ We were provided an incorrect code , but yay- found correct code down below. Overal a comfortable house.

The kitchen was perfect, very spacious and well stocked. The main bathroom was not private, with a window to the main hallway. The description said there were two bathrooms upstairs, however, there was only one and the main bathroom only had a bath. Location was perfect with a short walk to Shell beach. We enjoyed the resident fox who visited at least twice a day, but be prepared for loud crying at night that sounds like a woman screaming. Overall, this place will stay on our list of places to return to in Sea Ranch.

We loved the home it was so beautiful and cozy . All the amenities were great for cooking, hanging inside with my kids. We felt right at home. My boys enjoyed our walks outside to the beach and through the trials. We would love to come back soon we enjoyed this relaxing trip away.

We absolutely loved the location of the home! It’s perfectly nestled between all the fantastic amenities at Sea Ranch and just a quick drive to Gualala. The house is cozy and has a great layout that’s so perfect for family fun on vacation. I wish I was still lounging in the big comfy chair soaking up the peaceful ocean views. Our kids had a blast, watching the deer, quail, foxes, rabbits, and other adorable wildlife that would stroll by the side of the house every day! Can’t wait to visit again.

Gorgeous home. So clean...literally spotless. We sat on the living room couch one afternoon and watched whales breaching and playing for hours. We had a fox say hello to us when we were in the hot tub and a mama deer and her baby with us our whole visit. It was really beautiful. It is VERY sleepy there and all around there, so bring books and bikes. Would recommend this 100%. We really loved it.

Wonderful location. We'll stocked home. Beautiful surroundings. The only drawback was that we had to keep resetting the thermostat often each day and night due to pre-programmed settings which left us freezing during our May visit (55 degrees at night is just too cold). Loved having deer walk through the back yard and the very private hot tub behind the house which keeps you out of view of others and surrounded by beautiful flowering trees and plants. We had a lovely visit.

Great house in a very peaceful community in the midst of nature. During our stay the backyard was visited by multiple deers, rabbits and fox. Would highly recommend this house for someone looking to unwind with friends/family.

Great spot! My only complaint is that I had to battle with there google thermostat the whole time! Were the owners messing with me? I would wake up to the temp down at 50 degrees sometimes and it kept changing to 55 sometimes. It was freezing while I was up there, as it is December, and I still have a stuffy nose from my stay. Please at least just let it stay at a comfortable 69 or 70 degrees! I would have to blast it up to quickly get it warm again so I’m pretty sure it was counterproductive on their part if saving energy was there motive. Other than that, the place was awesome. The kitchen has every appliance you can think of, very clean, and they even labeled every drawer for you! Loved.

Great location! we came to visit family and friends in Greece and Victor and this was a perfect mid-point. The house was clean, comfortable and stylish. my 7 year old loved the "zen den". Leo's Bakery a few minutes away and a nice park with a free splash pad and playground within walking distance. Definitely would stay here again!

This property was extremely clean. This house is a short walk to the bluff trail and beaches and has a fantastic view from the living room! It’s comfortable, and well equipped. The back deck and hot tub were lovely. We also enjoyed watching movies in the living area with the gas fireplace going. A couple of things to note: there were air fresheners (which we don’t care for so we set them outside in favor of fresh air), there is no Sea Ranch trail map provided, and one of the windows in the smaller upstairs bedroom is hard to open. We would also recommend that the owners provide a dish drainer/rack and some bar stools. We would love to come back to this home!

Four buddies rented Sixpence for three nights for a get-away from the Bay Area. The home was very comfortable during some windy and stormy days and nights. I think the fireplace was on non-stop. We got out to hike whenever we could so the location was perfect for accessing the Bluff Trail. Very quiet and the home is well appointed and happily not too much clutter. Sleek and clean. Already considering going back.

The kitchen in this house was the best stocked of any place we’ve stayed in the past. The drawers and cupboards were labeled, making it easier to find what we needed when cooking. The master bedroom was not only located on the main level but it was also not directly below the other bedrooms and far away from the living room and TV making it very quiet place to sleep. It was the perfect house for our group. We all loved watching the wild life grazing in the yard and the view of the ocean. I can highly recommend this house.

The Sixpence is probably the most beautiful of all the homes we've stayed at in TSR. It's tastefully remodeled with quality fixtures and materials. As others have said, the kitchen is wonderful and well stocked. Those planning to cook should be aware they need to bring all pantry supplies (olive oil, herbs and spices) -- not a criticism, just an FYI as every home differs. Aside from that, it has ample supplies for prepping, cooking and serving. There's a nice Weber grill (propane) on the deck, which isn't shown in the photos. The gas fireplace added lovely ambiance and warmth to a rainy stay.The wildlife didn't disappoint! Deer, rabbits, and turkeys entertained us, and the humpbacks were in full display.The house is near Highway 1 but it's extremely quiet. You do see occasional cars driving on the road in front of the home.It's an easy, short walk to the bluff trail.We will definitely stay at The Sixpence again. It's a great spot for one couple, just utilizing the first floor, and is also well suited for up to 6 people.
