Screened-in Porch Walkable to SoCO

Obvious flip property, but comfortable and a good for a small group. Definitely worth for the price.

As a reviewer noted in March 2025 there are no rods in closets, so no way to hang clothes. One bedroom doesn’t have a closet space or hooks at all. Seems like an easy fix but not yet addressed. Some delays in communication but resolved. My sister slipped and fell in the shower, which has a slippery tub. That could also be an easy fix and I hope it’s addressed. One set of lights in the living room flickers constantly if turned on, which I believe another reviewer previously mentioned. Back door leading to the patio does not lock but does have a wooden dowel that can be used to keep this slider door shut. Dowel was not in place when we got there, and I didn’t realize the back door was unlocked until the second day. House is nice enough and in a quiet neighborhood. Screened porch with a dining table and chairs is a plus if you like to sit outside.

Location location location! Right next to the new HEB, food options in walking distance, and not even a 15 minute drive downtown. We had a group of 4 girls fly in from different areas and had a great time and issue-free getting ready areas with the two bathrooms lol.

Beautiful home in walking distance to South Congress. So close to HEB and many amenities. Comfortable beds. Awesome shower in the Master Bedrm. We loved the screened in porch and spent many evenings relaxing, free from bugs. This home is well worth the money spent and we highly recommend. Host was quick with response to any questions or instructions. If you're visiting Austin, this is a perfect rental.

We had a great stay overall! The place was clean and had some really nice features—comfy couch, big TV, A/C, and a BBQ. There was also a cute little screened-in spot to sit down for dinner—it felt like you were outside but still warm and dry. On our last night, there was a cool thunderstorm, and it was amazing to watch and listen to it from that cozy area. Just a couple of quirks worth mentioning: the kitchen looked great but was a bit limited—no oven pans, so we couldn’t bake anything (our bacon plans were sadly foiled.) Also, two of the bedrooms had big closets but no rods or hangers, so we weren’t really sure how to use them—just empty space. Nothing major, just small oddities. We'd still definitely recommend the place for a short, relaxing getaway!

I really didnt want to leave. The stay was peaceful and relaxing in a great neighborhood. Short walk to a convenient store plus the big store was within a 6 min drive. I will definitely be back.

This is a great location for experiencing Austin. My party enjoyed the proximity to bars, restaurants and green spaces. The house has a nice layout, and we utilized the screened porch, massive couch, and large kitchen quite a bit. The grill was pretty old but got the job done. Beds and showers were very nice and comfortable. The kitchen would be much more useful with some basic supplies, namely cutting boards, knives, and baking sheets. An extra pot and pan would be nice, also. The entry code provided was incorrect, so it took several calls/messages to get inside. The situation was remied fairly quickly. The house was mostly clean where it counts- linens, counters and furniture. The floors and dishes definitely need more attention. With some extra cleaning and a few supplies, this property could easily go from 4 to 5 stars.

Very Nice home. Great Location. Only seen minor issues that needed attention like back screen patio door did not lock and just minor issues with lights but otherwise very nice and spacious.

We enjoyed our stay and found several things that made the experience comfortable and enjoyable, along with a few areas that could be improved.Positives:The location is great and the neighborhood is very quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. The layout of the house is nice and functional, and the beds were very comfortable. All basic cooking utensils were available, which made meal prep easy. The cooling system works perfectly, and the hot water gets very hot, which was a big plus.Negatives:There were no hanging rods in any of the clothes so nowhere to hang clothes. There was no iron to use; however, there was an ironing board. Additionally, there were several old and worn outdoor furniture pieces that made them unsafe to use. Suggestions:Adding throw blankets would increase comfort in shared spaces. Bathroom floor mats or towels for stepping out of the shower would be helpful.Overall, this is a nice property with strong potential. With a few thoughtful additions, it would make for an excellent stay.

This stay was very disappointing. Although the house was in a great location, and the layout was really good, there were so many maintenance things that were overlooked and annoying-* No hanging bars in 2 of the 3 closets. I noticed this was commented on 2 years ago!! And still not fixed- why?* Broken faucet in kitchen, and loose faucet in bathroom. Cleaners must’ve noticed that!* Water to fridge not hooked up, so no water or ice, and no ice cube trays.* Slider to screen porch would’nt lock, even after maintenance guy came out.*Toilet paper holder falling off in bathroom. Again, that was in a previous review and still not fixed.* Although I appreciate having basic condiments available, there was a used jar of peanut butter in the cabinet- gross!I learned this property management company owns about 50 houses in the area. Maybe have fewer and maintain the ones you have. I am a 5 star host on this platform, and running a business the way Grand Welcome Rentals Austin does is a shame. Clearly, it’s just about the bottom line, and not about hospitality.But companies like that don’t care.

The house is centrally located within minutes from South Congress in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is well stocked and extremely clean. Communication with the hosts is easy and they are very responsive. We will stay there again when we’re back in Austin

Every night when i went to bed i slept as good as i do at my own home. Every bit of it felt comforting. The AC was amazing! But becareful it had a 68 temp programmed for the night after 930 i would switch it back to my temp. Stand up shower was great, had good pressure. Unfortunately we did not use the sceened in area. But the few minutes i was outside was nice. Would stay here again in the future. I would mention that i only seen one fire alarm. I did see the brackets but the alarms were missing. The tub seemed to be a little clogged. We got a lot of rain on our stay, so walking out the water would fall right on our heads from the door canopy, i would recommend putting a gutter or some type of water catch to divert the water to the sides. Overal great location less than 10 minute drive to restaurants, stores, gas, etc
