An All-Year Destination

Temperature-wise, it’s hard to find a bad time to visit Tampa. Whether you like your weather hot or mild, you’ll almost always be in a prime position for enjoying the abundance of outdoor activities.

The months of June through August are the hottest in Tampa, and the humidity can tend to be higher in these months as well. Also high in these months is tourism, and you will find most attractions to be very heavy with traffic. However, being right on the Water, Tampa is ideally situated for the hot months, with several water-based activities to enjoy and cool off.

September to December is typically rated as the ideal time to visit, as temperatures are coming down from the summer highs, settling into the high 70s and mid-80s, and tourism largely starts to die off due to the return to school. Some attractions begin to offer discounted rates for visitors during these months as well, and you may be able to stay and play for cheaper than the busy season.

From January to April, although cooler in temperature, rates and prices start to increase as vacation season for the northern states starts to heat up, as well as preparation for spring break travelers.

Depending on what you’re after, you can still find it in Tampa regardless of the time of year.
