Best Times to Visit Orlando, FL

December-February – Top attractions are regularly jammed with tourists in winter, but if you book flights and accommodations well in advance, you’ll be rewarded with glorious weather. Daytime temperatures range in the low 70s, evening lows can get down to the high 40s, so be sure to pack a light jacket. Remember to arrive early to popular theme parks (especially during the holidays), since all will stop admitting visitors once they’ve reached capacity, which can sometimes happen before noon.

March-May – Best time to visit Orlando as you’ll encounter superb weather – with average temps hovering in the high 50s to high 80s. Plus, theme parks won’t be as packed with tourists for much of the season. Though you may see prices and crowds increase during Easter and spring break recesses.

June-August – The city can be pricey and uncomfortable months. The average summer temperatures are generally between the low 70s and low 90s but can feel 10 or more degrees warmer with high humidity levels. Hurricanes may occasionally pass through as well. If the convenience of a summer visit outweighs this season’s cons, plan on beating the heat by drinking plenty of water, applying sunscreen frequently and taking breaks inside air-conditioned attractions.

September-November – Unlike Orlando’s spring season, these months are commonly plagued with hurricanes, so vacationing at this time can be risky. To safeguard your pocketbook, purchase refundable flights and hotels. Also, consider wrapping up your trip before the Thanksgiving holiday, when prices significantly increase. Expect average temperatures to sit in the high 50s to high 80s.
