Kids my husband and our two dogs enjoyed this house. It is airy, beautiful, with warm floors, which is amazing feature, located in walking distance to shore trail and beaches. And short distance to the pool. The view and patio is not ideal but it did not destruct us from enjoying our vacation. Strangely for the caliber of this rental, the cleaning supplies were very limited and cooking utensils suboptimal. The vacuum was old and semi functional, and despite our best efforts to get rid of the sand from the beach before entering, it accumulated and was a chore to clean. There was no gas grill and no coal or wood for wood burning fireplace provided, but in all we will be filled with many positive memories and just hope the management may make improvements that would enhance the stay of its guests to come.

House was great for our family of 4 plus dog. We enjoyed that it was large, airy, with views of the water (and a trail down to the water was close to the house). 5-10 min to Gualala for food and 10-15 min to Sea Ranch Lodge. Very quiet and peaceful.

Our family (2 adults, 3 children) and our friends (2 adults, 1 child) had a wonderful time at this property for a week of summer vacation! We loved every moment: watching our kids and dog play on the beach; taking evening strolls along the cliffs; swimming at the nearby Rec center pools; playing tennis and pickleball; driving into Gualala to shop for delicious home-cooked meals; soaking in hot tub and enjoying the comfortable living areas in the evenings. It was a perfect rental property for our families' summer break.

The house was fine. Very comfortable. It was irritating, though, that the cleaning service in so stingy with supplies. Only three dishwasher pellets for a five night stay? No extra trash bags? Etc.

We simply loved the house. The location was literally less than 5 min walk to the beach. The house was very clean, and well stocked. It felt very private, and the backyard looked out towards the water. The only thing that to note is that only 1 bedroom in the back is isolated and private. The master and alcove bedroom are open to sound from the main space. We would definitely rent this house again.

Large house with everything we needed in a great spot with some water views. Loved that we were able to bring our dog with us too. Quick trip, but a lot of fun and we would stay there again. My only complaint, and this seems to be because of Covid, was the set in stone 4pm check in time. We have 1yr old twins and a 4 yr old so being about to check in an hour earlier when we arrived and not having to find a way to kill time would have been super helpful. After a long car ride we ended up with kids all the kids in tears, a need for a bathroom and stress that could have been avoided.

House was very nice, open floor plan, and easy access to all the local amenities. Only negative was the windows were very dirty and in need of cleaning. A big part of the reason to go there is to take in nature and the ocean.

After all of out vacations were canceled, we decided to stay semi-local and spend some time on the beach. This was the perfect vacation for this environment! The house was really nice and was just a short walk to beautiful, quiet beaches. The trails provided nice walks for our family, including our dog. The two kids had their own bedrooms, which minimized fighting. We had a difficult time getting to the house, because hwy 1 was closed due to a fire. We had to turn around and come back to hwy 1 north of the fire. This added 2 hours to our trip. The roads that cut across the mountains between 101 and 1 can be quite scary. I recommend leaving plenty of time for travel in case you run into bad road conditions. We were beyond happy to arrive at the house and relax!

This is our second time at Sea Ranch. This house had a great location and great view. We really loved being there, but there were definitely some pros and cons to consider depending on your group.

Pros:

- Amazing view of a field of high grass (we saw deer prance through every day!). Limited view of the ocean, but it's a very short walk to the beach. Nice seating area for hanging out.

- Well-kept private garden with a hot tub.

- Really nice master suite.

- Big kitchen.

Cons:

- This place says it sleeps 8 with 4 rooms. I think this is pretty misleading. There is: one incredible master bedroom with its own bathroom; one pretty good bedroom next to the only other bathroom; one "alcove" off the living room with a privacy screen; another "alcove" with a sliding door off the kitchen. The alcoves aren't really suitable privacy for adults, especially if you expect two adults to stay in each of them. They also have very, very tiny beds and no noise isolation from the main areas of the house. I would only stay here again if there were no more than 4 adults in our group.

This lovely home worked well for us as we had two adults and 4 children. There is ample hiking trails which are easy to locate. The area is close to parks and beaches which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Clean, bright newer home with wonderful great room , 2 fireplaces and 5 TVs. Tons of clean towels, blankets and pillows and even had doggie blankets and bowls for the pup. Home is well equipped, although the cooking pots and pans were in poor condition and no electric beater to make holiday mashed potatoes and desserts. Everything else was in great working condition. The master bedroom mattress was too firm for our taste and the guest room double bed felt like a box spring. Very nice home. The area around the hot tub needs attention as lots of dead leaves and spiderwebs. The views were spectacular.

Also the WIFI is mostly non existent. Those were the only drawbacks - the house was lovely and very clean. We will be back. Thank you.

Being able to walk to several beaches with different types of wildlife has made our trip one to remember.  The home itself was warm and welcoming as well.  Plenty of beds for our group of 7 and the hot tub was a perfect way to end a day of exploring and hiking.  Thank you for sharing your home with us!  

Some suggestions that might make your next guests feel even more at home! 

..The kitchen, could be equipped a bit better!  The coffee machine is broken.  The couches filling seemed to escape.  No instructions to be found for the fireplace - specifically around how to open the flue.  We very much enjoyed our stay here...  Thanks again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The main bedrooms were great. The third bedroom has sliding doors to separate it from the kitchen/dining room which worked fine for our kids but for adults there would be limited privacy and ability to block out noise. Great patios that are fully enclosed. No ability to use garage for parking or storage.

Great location to many beaches.  Our whole family, kids, dog and grandma included, were very comfortable and relaxed here.  Sea Ranch is our great escape and we enjoyed staying here.

The hot tub was great (only fit 3-4 at a time)...and the hot tub under the blanket of stars at night was amazing! Hummingbirds visit regularly, deer munch on grass nearby and the seals laze on rocks. Tidal pools are rich with life... I could go on, but you get the drift. 100% recommend. Oh, and one last comment - we had car trouble and barely made it into Gualala. Sky checked us in and stayed late letting us use the phone to contact the rental car place. He even offered to ferry us out to our place if we we couldn’t get the van moving again. We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was clean, well-equipped, and in excellent condition. The playroom with some kids' activities was a great bonus for our group. We loved seeing the deer when we opened our shades in the morning, and had a great time cooking in the spacious kitchen. Would love to go back!

Had a great time with our 5-year old and toddler (16 mo.s). Older son loved the tidepools and especially the crabs. Layout was ideal for a new walker (not many stairs), and they liked the toys too!

Great location, nice views, lots of animals to observe, and great kitchen too!

Appreciated the kid bowls & cups.
