Grand Welcome of Vail is locally owned and operated by Patrick and Ania Steinmayr. This power duo is passionate about mountain life and have been in the Vail area for the last six years.
Originally from Banff, Alberta, Canada, Ania quickly excelled in alpine skiing, becoming a member of the Canadian National Ski Team before an unfortunate career-ending injury forced her to learn how to walk again.
Never deterred from living life to the fullest, Ania went on to pursue a degree in human kinetics and eventually started her own personal training and massage company which she ran for 10 years.
Hailing from Linz Austria, Patrick began a professional hockey career in 1999 and went on to play in Europe and North America for 10 years, before moving to Aspen in 2009.
The couple decided to make Vail home, where Patrick worked for vail resorts up until 2021. Patrick and Ania share son Lucas, daughters Lily and Ava, and their dog Kona. They continue to focus on health and wellness and enjoy exploring the outdoors together whenever possible.
The skiing and mountains drew the Steinmayr’s to Vail but they have since grown to love the people and the stunning natural beauty that surrounds them.
