Fishing

Fishing is a great activity to participate in year-round in Colorado.  The state has 6,000 miles of rivers and streams providing great opportunities to fish.  While there a more than 2,000 lakes to choose from in Colorado, the body of water closest to our Grand Welcome Rocky Mountain properties is the Dillon Reservoir.

Of our vacation homes, the cities Dillon and Silverthorne sit North of the Reservoir, while Frisco sits South West.  26 miles of gorgeous shoreline surround Dillon Reservoir offering dozens of places to dip your line in. The lake is annually stocked with about 50,000 rainbow trout, but visitors will also encounter brown trout, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and arctic char.  If you are interested in fishing at the Dillon Reservoir, anyone ages 15+ is required to have a valid fishing license.
