Rules to Follow in Breckenridge

You don’t have to just visit Breckenridge during the wintertime. Here are some rules to follow during all seasons in Breck.

  1. Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
    2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
    3. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
    4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill, and yield to others.
    5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
    6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
    7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

SNOW MELT, TRAIL CONDITIONS, AND OPENINGS
At Breck, they move from winter operations to summer operations in a matter of just a few weeks. And, depending on their winter snowpack and spring snowstorms, it can take a little longer for certain areas of the mountain to be ready to open in summer. To help preserve our mountain terrain and the condition of our trails all season long, it’s important that we wait until the snow melts and the ground dries before allowing guests to recreate in those areas. Be sure to check out the website for up-to-date information.
