Sierra Star is known for its narrow fairways, with dense forestry, and plenty of creeks that make for natural water hazards. The course is known for its exceptional maintenance. The greens are usually a little fast, and makes for a challenging course to the average golfer. There are plenty of scenic mountain views, and the higher altitude means you can drive the ball further.
