Horseback Riding

Enjoy some of the most scenic areas of Lake Tahoe on horseback.  Gallop through lush meadows and forests while circling the crystal blue lake.  This activity is ideal for all equestrian skill levels as tour guides pair you with the right horse and guide you through easy to experienced trails.  

Camp Richardson Corral is our favorite to include the whole family on this activity. Horseback riders over the age of 6 can choose from a variety of trail packages, and younger riders are paired with ponies which explore the easy paths of the stable.

Alpine Meadows Stables is another great option for all ages to enjoy. Choose your experience package riding through the Tahoe National Forest. Pony rides with parents leading are also available.

Tahoe Donner also offers trail and pony rides. Experienced wranglers lead your group through the High Sierra full of lush greenery, tall trees, and vibrant meadows. Riders 7+ years old can take part in trails rides while ages 2-6 can enjoy pony rides accompanied by parents.
