In the dry, desert climate of Arizona, the best time to visit Scottsdale is late fall and early spring. From late September through November and from March through early May, you’ll catch ideal weather for poolside activities and outdoor adventures.  

With the added activity of MLB Spring Training, the spring season is one of the most popular times of year to visit Scottsdale. Temperatures are in the mid-70’s during the day, perfect for enjoying a beer and baseball, as well as outdoor adventures like hiking Camelback Mountain or biking at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Because spring is a busy season in Scottsdale, it’s also a more expensive time for booking airfare and lodging. So make your reservations in advance and plan your excursions early in the day to avoid crowds.  

For a less busy trip with similar, mild weather, plan your Scottsdale getaway during the fall. With highs in the 80’s, fall is the perfect time of year to take advantage of nearby trails, outdoor patio dining, and lounging by the pool.
