Mykonos is a luxurious 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom Santa Barbara vacation home perfect for a small family. The spacious interior can accommodate up to 4 guests, and don't forget to bring your pup along as Mykonos is pet friendly! Surrounded by white walls and fine furnishings, guests can get their Greek island fix without even leaving California. Enjoy sunny days on the many outdoor decks, or take a short bike ride down to the beach.
Upon approaching this vacation rental guests will have access to a 1 car garage through the gated entry on the ground floor. he main level (3rd floor) of the home features a crisp white interior with blue coastal finishes. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating options placed around a gorgeous fireplace and mounted flat screen TV. After a day of exploring the city, light a fire and curl up on the couch to watch a movie. A DVD player and WIFI are provided for family entertainment.
Continuing past the living room guests will find an open floor plan seamlessly connecting the kitchen and dining area. Laundry closet is located off of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and a generous amount of counter space. Anyone will love cooking their favorite dishes in here, some may even be tempted to try out some new recipes. When your meals are ready to be served have all guests take a seat at the dining table. The dining table has seating for six, so everyone can enjoy a home cooked meal together.
The second floor holds the two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. At the end of the night when you are ready to receive a good night's rest, choose from the master and guest bedroom. The master bedroom is furnished with a luxurious King-size bed, TV, has a private deck, and an ensuite bathroom. The master bathroom offers a tranquil morning - soak in the jacuzzi bathtub or enjoy the walk-in shower and dual sinks. The guest bedroom holds a Queen-size bed, TV, reading nook, and similarly has an ensuite bathroom.
On the 4th floor, the rooftop terrace may be the best feature of this home. A variety of outdoor seating is sprawled along the deck. Settle down in front of the outdoor fireplace or fire up the grill to dine alfresco. While lounging in this area you are sure to witness some breathtaking sunsets as the sky transforms to pinks and golds.

Great place to stay

We spent the month of February at Mykonos. It is a very beautiful and spacious home with lots of room to spread out and a wonderful rooftop deck. The location is perfect as it is easily walkable to the beach and to State Street. Check in was simple, and the people at Grand Welcome are very responsive. We would recommend this home without hesitation.

House was well appointed, walking distance to all the state street and the funk zone have to answer. Great views from the rooftop. Loved the dumbwaiter, an added benefit of moving into and out of the condo. As an FYI to the manager, the deadbolt to the garage could use some WD-40.

Beautiful Home

We stayed at Mykonos for the month of February 2023. It is a beautiful and spacious home. The bedroom suites are very comfortable and well appointed. The living room and kitchen areas are well equipped, and we used the fireplace quite a bit. However, the best thing about this home is the location. It is walkable to the beach and to State Street. There is a small market about a block away. Very convenient. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at Mykonos.

Lovely accommodations! Lots of stairs, but even in our 70s, we managed fine. Enjoyed the morning walks with our 2 dogs - down 3 blocks to the marina and left to the pier, round trip 1.6 miles. Picked up coffee to go at Chads for early morning walks, and enjoyed breakfasts at Chads and Jeannine’s. Easy walk to State Street (downtown) from Mykonos. Dinners at Luckys and Honor Bar in Montecito were great, and don’t miss Ellers for donuts in Santa Barbara (my husband said “best donuts in the world, including Krispy Kreme”). Arroyo Beach was a fun place to let the dogs run off leash, plus they have a dog washing area. Really appreciated the garage parking, and the beach chairs, bikes, etc. Thanks for providing such a nice place to stay to enjoy the Santa Barbara area!

The beds were comfortable and the showers were amazing after a relaxing day at the beach.
The kitchen is well stocked with spices (there is plenty of coffee filters so don't worry about purchasing). There is a nice little grocery store just around the corner for other items you might need for your stay. 4 minute walk.

Very comfortable with an amazing rooftop terrace

Overall this is a great property. Garage parking which is fantastic but a little tight. Fireplaces in each bedroom, the living room, and on the rooftop terrace. Beds really comfortable. All bathrooms on the bottom level which is a little strange but not a big deal. Probably time for a deep clean as the door frames and high traffic areas have accumulated dark spots from being touched - normal wear / grime from being lived in. Drain in the bathtub doesn't seal, so the water leaks out making that gorgeous jetted tub useless. Very easy to connect with property management if needed. All in all, it's a great property and we'd stay here again. The issues noted really are minor upkeep items.

Amazing Property

Our stay in Santa Barbara was great in no small part due to our vacation rental. The townhouse was beautiful, especially the rooftop deck which we used every night with the fireplace. The house has a really well equipped kitchen with a Viking stove. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The location was great - a short walk to the beach, harbor and State St. We rode the bikes that were included on the bike trail along the beach as well. There is no A/C but that turned out not to be an issue as the nights are cool and, even with 85 degree days, it was still 69 in our bedroom at night with a window open.

If you want a fabulous place just a few blocks from the beach and State Street, you could hardly do better. Having your own garage in an area where parking is tight is also a huge plus.
Like all vacation houses, it has a few quirks, though: The rooftop deck is as beautiful as the photo, but it's one of 4 side-by-side decks. So a loud group next door will definitely be heard. This deck has the best view of the mountains though.
Having all of the bathrooms on the bottom of 3 floors is nice at night, but it's a floor below the living room and kitchen and 2 floors below the rooftop deck.
The kitchen is also one of the best we've ever had in a rental, right down to how well stocked it is.

Close to the Beach

This was our first time using VRBO and we were very pleased with this property. It's very nicely appointed, spacious for a family of 4, and we enjoyed all of the decks and outside space. For our family Mykonos is for real coming home to Santa Barbara. For the past nine years we have spent our summer vacation in Santa Barbara – our happy place ☺ – and for the past three years we lave stayed at Mykonos and we are looking forward to this upcoming summer at Mykonos as well. The condo is beautifully decorated with all you need. You can barbeque on the patio right outside the kitchen area, enjoy a glass of chill local chardonnay in the “sky bar” on the roof top overlooking the Pacific. The location is perfect and in walking distance to the beach and the restaurants at the Break Water, Stearns Wharf or State Street. Take a stroll down town and go shopping or explore The Funk Zone restaurants, wineries or maybe spend an hour of cross fit.

The Best of Santa Barbara

We have been spending vacations at Mykonos for seven years! We started out with a two week visit that has evolved into spending an entire month there for the past three years. It is a perfect getaway--very well maintained and tastefully decorated, perfect location--steps to beaches, restaurants and downtown, great roof deck with beautiful views, and plenty of convenient, secure parking. I would highly recommend Mykonos to anyone who wants the best of Santa Barbara!

Terrific Experience

This was the first time that we rented a vacation place for a full month, so naturally we were a little nervous that our expectations would be met. Unlike a hotel, simply switching properties was really not an option should something not be up to par.
Any apprehension on our end was totally unwarranted. The Mykonos condo was everything we hoped for.
The location is terrific. 4 blocks from the beach, and within an easy walk from State Street (downtown Santa Barbara). The setup is casual, yet tasteful. Most importantly, we immediately got a sense of being comfortable.
The condo is spacious, and both bedrooms are master size. 2 1/2 very nice, large bathrooms. The living space, dining area, and kitchen are all one big, open room, which is something we personally really liked. There are small patios throughout, but it was the rooftop deck (with a fireplace) that we used and enjoyed the most. Bottom-line, you are renting a very nice beach-area condo that is unpretentious, with all the amenities you could ask for.
For us, it was all we had hoped for, and we are already booked for next November.
Having said all that, some things that potential renters should be aware of:
* the cable / TV system is somewhat difficult to operate. There are written instructions, and TVs throughout the house, but a minor thing like that can be frustrating for some people.
* all of the bathrooms are on the 2nd floor, none on the living room level.
* the unit consists of 4 floors. Walking up and down stairs was not an issue for us, but for anyone with mobility problems, this could be of concern (there is an elevator on the far end of the property, if needed).
* Amtrack runs along this part of the CA coast line, and you will periodically hear trains come through until about 10 o'clock at night. After the 1st week, we no longer noticed this, but for anyone who is looking for seclusion, this would be an issue.

The Class of Greece In Santa Barbara

This is by far one of my favorite places to stay in Santa Barbara. The European style and architecture is authentic. We especially enjoyed the easy walk to the Beach and the heart of downtown. The kitchen is fully equipped and is a pleasurable place to prepare a meal. There are many choices of views from the 4 levels.
